Yes, I know that...Why would anyone want to use Vita as a controller anyways when you can use the PS4s controller?That isn't the same as a developer allowing the vita to function as a controller for the game when played omnthe ps4.

Cause people have a vita but don't own multiple PS4 controllers? Or a friend has a vita but not a PS4 so he can't bring his controller.
Because the analog sticks on the Vita are serviceable for a handheld but would absolutely suck to use for full-fledged PS4 games.
That's not even the point here. There is a reason why someone may actually make use of the Vita this way.
It sure is a better idea than syncing to a tablet.

How? People already own Vitas, they buy a PS4. They don't buy multiple controllers cause there's usually nobody playing. Friend comes over and you don't need to buy a $50+ controller. Just use your vita.
It's not adding second screen functionality oir gimmicks like the WiiU. It's just allowing people a way to do local MP if they don't have multiple PS4 controllers.
Which might sound like a neat feature, except the Vita is approaching 2 years old and the Vita owners hasn't hit a spectacular level. Under 6 million worldwid, with less than 2 mil each in the core markets (US, EU, Japan). It is still on sale for $250, which is a lot for what it does.
The Vita is a gimmick that isn't working. Sony is hoping adding in another gimmick (a $250 controller or nVidea shield-type device) will up the sales. I mean, the GameGear sold more than the Vita has, and it required like 100 AA batteries.
They aren't trying to sell Vitas this way...have you seen them advertise this as a system selling feature?
NO! So you're looking at it from the completely wrong perspective. This is just a way to connect the two for people who have both. There is nothing wrong with adding additional functionality to the PS4 and Vita for those who own both. Like I said, it's a lot better than expecting people to sync their tablet to their console.
It is a selling feature. All the talk about "streaming every PS4 game to your Vita" is them trying to sell both the PS4 and the Vita.

PSP didn't do THAT well. It lacked support badly, and then the PSGo was a laughable attempt (similar to what MS was trying with the Xbone). And now people have tablets/phones that pretty much do what the Vita does and more. The NDS was/is much better supported even if it is "inferior" it has many more viable games than the PSP ever had.
The Vita's usage with a PS3/PS4 is interesting, but really not much of a pushing selling point. If it was, the Wii-U would be doing phenominally (since that's pretty much what it is).

PS4 has lost the NFL Sunday Ticket. Sad day for football fans that don't have DirecTV; but it looks like Xbox One will be picking it up, so possibly can get it there.

None of the consoles are getting it this season. Maybe next year. The NFL is IMO too greedy for their own good and probably asked for money that Sony and/or DirecTV were not willing to pay. Maybe Microsoft is though.
Well, MS did have the league commissioner, so they might have already paid that price. And, I suspect you have to pay the price for the Sunday Ticket anyway to use it on the console ($300 a year).
