I hope you'll be able to charge the DS4 through a normal charger this time. I have a spare iPod charger laying around but they don't work with the DS3 for some reason. Nor does any other powered USB port not connected to a computer. Except the one on my TV oddly enough.
It will also function on a PS3 when plugged in for certain games apparently.

I pre-ordered an Energizer charging station also. I have one for my PS3 and it has worked great.
Does the PS4 have any USB ports in the back?
Some stuff I keep plugged in, like extra HD, don't really want them sticking out the front.
crap. more wires hanging out the front. I don't mind the front ports for quick plug n remove stuff but why not one in the back for more permanent attachments, couldn't have cost that much.
Guess I could just get a NAS storage drive rather than USB, I assume the pS4 could access it?
This one? They are sold out again if it is.

I was all ready to order one, but one thing came to mind... can you turn the LEDs off? The LED seems like it might be a bit bright if you leave this in a room while you trying to do something like watch a movie. The only charging LED you get on the PS3 dock that I have is the LED on the controller.
He also has a video with him trying it on a PC:

It looks like we'll be keeping our 360 controllers hooked up for at least a while longer.
It will eventually work on PC. I am certain of it.
I wish Sony would just take some time to make their own drivers. I never got the ps3 controller to work properly, and with the xbox controller being plug and play there was no reason it jump through hoops. They might not care about getting some extra sales in the PC gamer market, but IMO it would be worth their trouble.
I agree even though I used third party drivers to get the controller working on my pc. Some people really had issues with it.

You've got to run it wired through USB, then use the MotionJoy driver/tool package. Works beautifully for me. Basically, it tricks Windows/Games into thinking it's a 360 controller.
I used MotionJoy, never worked as well as the 360 controller and took more steps to get working. Why bother when there exists a controller that works flawlessly as soon as you plug it in?
