I think there is a wood plank on the ground. Pick that up if you don't already have one. Take out the guy around the corner with his back to you first. Then find a way to get to the clicker without alerting the runners. Kill the clicker (shank his butt). If killing the clicker attracted the runners so what, pull out the plank and start smashing them over the head.

If you want to minimize damage taken you can try to grab one of the runners earlier by hiding out in the side office and using a brick or bottle to attract them. But you will have to wait a bit before you can run in there.

They purposely made this as difficult as possible to establish group "infected" fighting early. I think most people die in this area over and over more than anywhere else in the game.

I think the school area too is pretty tough. I found this section quite simple.

Eh the school area isn't that bad if you managed to save ammo going through the houses. At least for me. Also having two people going around punching Zombies with you helps as well. I just find myself running around letting them attract attention and then taking one or two out as needed. In the school is a different story. But I think this one is probably the hardest because your dealing with a tight area, with 4-5 infected. It's 3 different types of infected. You don't have half the equipment you would have by the time you get to the school. You also have to do it completely solo.

Anyone get Madden? I picked up my copy (even though I told myself I'd skip this year...) and can't wait to try it out. I played 25 on PS3 so I'm hoping for a significant change.

I got it, reluctantly. Mainly because there isn't a lot I'm interested in yet on the Ps4, so I needed something to keep me occupied while I wait for CoD/Dragon Age etc...

The gameplay is very fun. Graphics are great. Menus are... ok. Somewhat laggy at times. Online play was decent. A little lag, but nothing terrible.

I mostly like to play offline franchise mode. I couldn't be more disappointed.

Progression is broken. After a few years you have tons of 99 ovr players in the league. It's super easy to progress your own guys to really high stats in just the categories that are important.

Free Agency is a joke. Key franchise players are released every year. Rookie 1st/2nd round picks off the team after just a season. Franchise QB's like Rivers, Cutler etc just become free agents. After one year I saw AJ Green and Keenen Allen as free agents. These guys would be very unlikely to become free agents. Its a joke.

Worst of all, simulated stats is TERRIBLE. On default settings the first year I simmed Peyton Manning lead the league with TD's, with 27. Nobody threw for over 4000 yards. There were approximately 15 running backs with over 300 carriers. In the NFL I think there were maybe 2 last year with more than 300 carriers. One running back had over 400 carriers. A few guys had 25+ sacks, with the leader being 32. Int #'s also seemed very high. Punting average numbers were terrible as well, with the league leader having a punt avg. of 37. Basically completely ruins any sim experience you could hope for.

The game plays great. But franchise mode is a fucking joke. I cannot believe EA can't get their head out of their asses enough to fix this. And this is why I hadn't bought the game the last 3 years. I had supporting this kind of lazy bullshit. Makes me sad

That's a bummer. Offline franchise mode is what I mostly play as well. I take it adjusting sliders has no change to simulated stats?

Heh well, in Fifa similar things happen in career mode. I'm playing player career and our best midfielder was sold to another team when he was very happy with the team at the time, just scored a game winning goal, and leads the league in assists. Then the game has the news page from around the leagues and the manager who bought him was basically gloating that he stole our player because he got him for cheap. The game actually made two news bulletins and one said he was being shopped around for way undervalue. Stupid.

Over at operationsports they are trying to work on a fix.

The leading candidate right now is taking control of all 32 teams, changing playbooks and schemes for all teams to vertical passing and pass balanced playbooks. This fixes the passing/rushing stats, mostly. But leaves a lot of problems. You still have the messed up defensive/special team stats. You cannot do any trades. Player progression for CPU becomes non-existent. It's super time consuming. And when certain players retire and new QB's come to teams, you may have to change schemes/playbooks again.

Basically, a last resort 'fix' but not a good one. Our only hope is EA patches this. Unfortunately though, they don't have a good track record with that.

Thanks I got past that, I stopped at the part where I am looking for some guy and get caught in a trap that has me hanging upside down. The game is ok so far but I think Uncharted is better so far, this game will have to really get amazing from here on out to make me like it more than UC and too see what all the hype is about.

The section where you are in the subway and are wearing the gas mask was almost enough to make me stop playing the game, I couldnt see crap. Easily one of the worst sections of a game I have played in a long time

It's more about the story though. The subway section was ok but I could see fine in it. Maybe your settings are too dark? I left the brightness on the stock settings.

It will get better it just builds slowly.

You are supposed to be almost blind there in the subway cause of the spores.

if you read the TLOU thread on here, you will see that many people had the same opinion as you about the game in the early stages of the game, myself included. it picks up big time though after like the first 3-4 hours.

Did some Madden last night. Pleasantly surprised by the presentation, graphics and defensive camera angles. I didn't do drills, skills, etc. in 25 but doing them in 15 was pretty fun. Picking plays and menus still seem sluggish though.

I think the game is pretty bad so far, and it sounds like I'm a few hours further in than you. I'm really really tempted to trade it in for Diablo 3 instead. No amount of story can make up for such boring gameplay.

Frankly I haven't understood the hype about recent Naughty Dog games. I played the first Uncharted but was glad when it was over. People said #2 was a pretty good step forward so I tried it when it was cheap, but didn't get very far before I was bored so I never finished it or bothered with #3. Since TLOU was new IP and everyone loved it I figured I'd give them another go, but so far I've been really disappointed. For me personally, ND has been the most overrated developer of the last gen. I haven't liked anything they've made after the Jak & Daxter series.

that was the first thing i noticed yesterday playing the nhl 15 demo - the sluggish menus. they have had this problem with games since like psx days. i simply do not understand it.

I have a similar opinion except the only Uncharted I played was 2. I was way happy when it was over - the controls were just BAD.

TLOU however I like a lot more due to setting. The controls could still use some improvement, but overall I don't feel like I'm forcing myself to play like I did Uncharted.

uncharted controls are just fine you guys just sound like you have trouble aiming with analog sticks. uncharted 1 was definitely looser than part 2 though, and the ps3 analogs don't help matters since that controller is terrible and way too lose in the analog sticks too.

I crashed the truck and took those guys out, now I am stuck inside this building on the 2nd story, bad guys coming from every direction.

I will give it another go tonight

Edit: I made it past the section where the elevator falls and I just found a key card for the door that doesn't work. I am probably done with the game, I have the dark sections and I am not getting pulled into the game. I will probably watch the rest on youtube

I just don't understand this at all...use the flashlight when you are in the dark. The whole point of those sections is atmosphere, not CoD shoot everything action.

You haven't even scratched the surface of the story and character building. People keep telling you this yet you just seem to want to shoot everything mindlessly or something.

probably should take all of TLOU talk to the TLOU thread so you don't spoil stuff for people in this thread looking for ps4 info that haven't played it.

What is TPP? I played the new Tomb Raider, it was ok and I felt it was going on way too long. I got pretty far but my save is corrupted. Everytime I try to load all I get is a black screen and I can hear some background noise. I have tried loading it on a different One, deleting my local save files, nothing works and I certainly do not want to play through all that again
