Possibly true. I feel they had a time slot and filled it with the most "hype generating" titles they could: Titanfall, Halo, etc. We will get more information as E3 goes on. There is going to be some Kinect titles for sure, and why shouldn't there be? People seem to actually like the Kinect for some god awful reason.
There is a market that doesn't just include hardcore gamers haha. I'm not a huge fan of Kinect games but I do think there is a place for it in next gen.
Examples:
-Madden 14
You can call plays quickly, Audible Plays, etc. etc. It could be amazing. If you want the full QB experience you can even get up and throw the ball (dunno if I'd do that part or if it'd work well).
-NBA Live 14
Call for a pick or other basketball type things (yes I know sad I should know more)
-FPS shooters
You don't need a headset now if you don't want to use one
-FPS single player
Tell your troops to take cover, follow, hold a choke point, etc.
There are a LOT of Kinect uses even for even for the core gamer crew. It just depends on developers implement it. I think though that Xbox's requirement of shipping with the kinect and having it on, will at FIRST be not accepted too well, but as people realize that the Kinect makes a lot of things that were tucked away in 3+ submenus, or that on PC, were tucked onto one of the 12 F keys, they'll be happy.
Side note: Watching IGN's coverage of E3,, it just goes to show that the average hardcore gamer doesn't understand the hardware that much. Even these guys hosting just care about games, which is what 95% of people know about.
Cute that they think though that Sony will come out at $399, as if Sony will take that kind of loss when their console costs more to product than Microsoft.
