just saw this as I was sitting down with my chicken breast with frank's red hot & adobo seasoning on it
Similar. I grabbed a boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced it into little chunks, and stir fried it with taco seasoning. I took half a package of flaky biscuits, split them in half (thickness wise) stretched them a bit, and arranged them into a ring. I then spooned all the chicken into a circle onto those biscuits, and rolled them up, sealing some of the chicken inside (some spilled out, but I didn't concern myself.) I baked it until the biscuits started browning. Then, I slid the whole thing onto a plate (it just fit; by design), and piled romaine lettuce in the center. Sprinkled frank's red hot over the whole thing, and a meal fit for a king. Omg, it's so delicious.
On a related note, those cans of rolls at the grocery store. Why do most of the biscuits work out to about $1.50 per pound, but the croissant rolls work out to closer to $5 per pound? The ingredients are, for all practical purposes, the same. I've made the same recipe with croissant rolls before, and really couldn't detect any noticeable difference in the final product (except while trivial, the regular flaky biscuits were $2 cheaper.)
