What is funny is how quickly what "couldn't be undone" was undone. I deal with companies like this company (well..and MS actually) on a daily basis. It's all talk. You ask them the same question 10 times, the first 5 times they'll say you can't do that, but keep asking and eventually they will change their tune when the right person is finally brought into the loop and come to find out, it could be done all along with no changes, they just didn't WANT you to do it because it wasn't in their best interest.
I hate when this is brought up, which continues to be the case. Just so we're all clear, here is what you're referring to:

To you, ImpulsE69, of course it looks like it was undone with a snap of a finger. You don't know anything about it, all you know is that one moment there was DRM, now there isn't. But why do you think they are requiring a one-time internet connection to download an update to disable this DRM? Because it is going to take a long time to strip that out, so long that they'll be boxing up consoles before they can get it done and tested.
So no, it isn't as easy as flipping a switch. Don't make it out to be. They never said it wasn't possible, just that it wasn't easy.
