I can't believe they'd release a golf game for the X1 and not have some kind of multiplayer support. That just seems insane to me.

yep and mvc3 was pretty bad. i do know that there is a lobby option in KI that is grayed out in the demo they have shown, so i'm pretty sure it is in there just not ready yet. filthierich had said that they would let us know about the online stuff this week though and what to expect from it.

I want to commend the developers on their, at least verbal, commitments to finishing everything they couldn't in time for this to be a launch title, but doing so rewards MS for publishing a half finished product. It is just ridiculous.

free, $20, $40, or $60, depending what you want.

and yeah ms forced DH to get something out the door at launch. if it was up to them they would have waited until it was at least 8 characters complete to put it out. but hey, i'd rather have 6 characters now than wait for 8 characters plus more modes.

Yeah, I'm going to buy it anyway (at least the full roster), but I am still upset MS would force a half finished launch title. I understand their thinking though. This is a big title (at least for me) and one of the reasons (for me) the Xbox One has a much stronger launch line up. Between KI and Forza, I don't think I will be missing not keeping my PS4.

Lol, so at least half their site is blocked, but I can read the text without any CSS.

Sounds like it is pretty good though. Not pretty, but definitely screen filled with zombies. I've enjoyed all the DR games. I might pick this up Friday as well.

We have known for a while that developers didn't have Dev kits for 2 years, were under time constraints to hit launch, and they have even said that the software they are using for development is not final and is behind by a bit. i disagree. they shouldn't sugar coat anything and i'm glad they are talking about the lackluster performance and graphics of some games, because it is flat out true.

I think a lot of people are expecting some kind of immediate jump in graphics quality, which wasn't even the case last generation's launch.

Harping on killer instinct's lack of arcade mode and 6 characters is fair? I dont feel so because we knew this for a long time. It wasn't a secret which is one thing I admire the developers for, keeping us informed.

Thankfully it appears that KI and DR3 are both decent enough to pick up for me. Even though DR3 has technical issues it appears to be fun enough to still be a good title to play through.

Cannot wait to see what they say about forza. I bet they will tear it apart for not having 1200 cars and doesn't have some specific model of skyline r34. Lol


It is too bad about crimson dragon though. That one just sounds bad from the ign review.

yes, i do think it's fair to mention that. the majority of the people who read ign for reviews have no clue about the details about killer instinct and haven't been following it like fans of the FGC have been following it. i think it's extremely fair to compare it to other fighters as well with the roster size.

and yeah, having no single player story mode is a big deal for many people. the story mode in mortal kombat is a huge reason that game got a good rating and is a major reason the game was so successful. in the fgc, it's not even considered a really good fighter, but to casuals it is, a lot do to it's story mode.

what i think WOULDNT be fair is if they based their review on characters and features that aren't out yet and aren't going to be in the game for months.

as for crimson dragon, i'm not too concerned about it after their review. i'm guessing it is going to be a $20 game so i'll grab it anyways. i mean ign gave knack shit scores too and i'm having fun with it. but i will say, that timed shit in crimson dragon doesn't sound fun.

Well I disagree but it is what it is. I am surprised about the online system for the game though.

Anyway it would seem that the three games I had picked are not bad titles to grab so I will stick with them. I dont expect forza to totally bomb in reviews.

On a aide note I will probably hold onto the $20 XBL credit I got from best buy. None of the digital games outside of KI seem worth it right now. I guess I could put it toward my KI download if nothing else.

Same here, I've been wanting to play another panzer dragoon game for a while now. Why don't they just make another pds or a sequel or something. That game was awesome.

Gamespot's Dead Rising 3 Review

Despite a wonky presentation and obvious technical hiccups, Capcom has successfully made Dead Rising 3 a more welcoming experience than its harsh predecessors. It can be an inconsistent experience, but I choose to ignore the game's peculiarities and play Dead Rising 3 in the spirit that I believe it's intended: running around in shark outfit shooting zombies with deadly dildos fired from a leaf blower.

Fifa, Madden, NFS, Forza, NBA2k14, maybe DR (it is full of violence, but it is campy, silly violence). Zoo Tycoon, I cannot recommend because it reminds me too much of Rollercoaster Tycoon, and they aren't making any more of those and I hate them for it!

I agree. What the developers went through has no relevance on the review score. There's no "pity tilt" built in to the reviews. I like how frank the reviewers are being. If its no fun and does not live up to expectations then give it the appropriate score.

Hmm so one thing I'm trying to do is make sure that I have a good way to place the Kinect. I want to place it below the TV, but my TV's stand seems to inhibit that. Although, I noticed that a PlayStation 4 game box is the exact same thickness of my TV's stand. That means I could place the game box in the open portion of the stand, which could then hold the Kinect up so its camera won't be blocked. The PS4 boxes are probably the same size as the PS3 boxes, so I might just use one of those.
