Yeah down the road we will see more 1080p on xb1. I assure you most of these consoles will never be used on a projector; most have and will stay with flat screens. Is it really not 1080p, or is it just the initial games are not? From reviews it says NFS is 1080p on X1.
I think over time all games will be 1080p.
I think most gamers are migrating to projectors these days, where it's easier to see the difference between 720p and 1080p. So it will be a total shame and sham, if they can't maintain 1080p.
Further to exdeath's points: I think a lot of people will switch to ps4 this gen, at least initially. I am because:
- more powerful
- cheaper
- do not care a lick about the hdmi switching and tv and nfl integration, which appeared to me to take time away from game focus
So far ps4 is killing it. This may change, and I won't say I will never have an xb1.
Above comment I agree wit this TV integration frankly strange. Cable subscriber rates are crashing and even satellite is struggling. And what demographic are they falling hardest with? The same one that plays a lot of games on consoles: 18-40 year old males. Three months ago I dropped pay TV for the first time in my life and won't go back, ever.
