spooky (at least used to) stream a lot of casual stuff from his house with the crew. When MVC came out, he was streaming it a lot (even before release with the leaked version). I am pretty sure he did the same for Injustice.

Microsoft did announce that you can share videos to SkyDrive... which doesn't really make up for the lack of streaming. They also announced that it will not play MP3s off a USB drive at launch.

I get the feeling that if we listed out features for both consoles that we would get far more in the "promised" column than in the "implemented".

Both consoles focused too much implementing new things to the point that it feels kind of rushed as if lets patch things later. Maybe they will forget.

Both companies had big ideas. Then the engineers gotta figure out how to make it work. It isn't simple.

Yea I know this being a software developer myself we run out of time at times and business itselfs seem to think that they can have anything they want.

I thought the review/preview of the XBOX One hardware was supposed to come out today? I know IGN said they would have it and so did Revision3, but it's certainly a tad bit late already.

IGN did have an article up with a summarized version of an interview with a guy about the controller and what changed. In regard to that article, I was a bit disappointed with his thoughts on the d-pad. He pretty much said that all games use them differently, which is true, so they don't want to specialize it for one particular type of game. In my experience, the issue with fighters is a lack of precision in reporting the directions pressed. People playing Call of Duty and using the d-pad for the various commands are just pressing the basic directions. They shouldn't be hampered by increased precision.

after playing killer instinct with the dpad for hours, i still didn't like it at all. it could have been just for that game but it was just as bad to me as the 360 dpad was for fighters. but since snes days i havent played fighters on a pad, so the crappy dpad doesn't help. it does feel "clickier" and sturdier than the 360 one, but i wasn't impressed to be honest.

the difference between the ds3 and the ds4 is much better than the difference between the 360 and x1 controller imo.

What's up with IGN taking on Xbox Ones look or whatever? Seems weird for a website that reviews games to do that; makes them seem almost...untrustworthy. Although their reviews do seem fair.

That site is unusable. It takes over a minute for all the crap to settle down. Pop-ups, expanding ads, collapsing ads... It's an abomination. I got sick of trying to chase the text all over the page. No surprise that they'd do something like that.

No. IGN is showcasing a new content organization thinger at the top of their website, which says, "Read about IGN's Pins beta Brought to you by Xbox One". Ultimately, IGN and other gaming sites use advertisements to help support the company as a whole. Anyway, I don't like the whole pins thing. I'll read stuff from almost every single section on IGN, so it's useless for me to organize anything.

EDIT:

I like that the new Smartglass app is universal for iOS. The PlayStation app only officially supports the iPhone, and I can't seem to locate one for the iPad. :\ It still works, but you can't run it full-frame.
