My problem with gaming today is it's bullshit. Games are shipped out broken and incomplete, and now consoles (both of them) are too. Micro transactions and dlc forces us to double and triple pay, etc. Its crap.
....6 months? A year? $500 (+) for an item that "sort of works"? .....wow people have gotten complacent...
I know (hope) at some point they make it an awesome piece of gear. The way they are marketing it as (basically) not a game system means they had more to prove than Sony. I don't deny people who are going to buy it will, but it's the people who are on the fence such as myself that they need to convince. That is not a small drop in the bucket. It's not about being able to afford it, it's about finding the value in it.
It reflects the state of the world more so than just MS. My gripe is MS had plenty of opportunity (after the outrage) to show everyone how wrong they were and completely WOW everyone. I would say, they didn't do that. Maybe in 6 months or a year or more they will...but that really is beside the point and just furthers the whole issue.
If it's just about the games, then I guess I'd get a PS4 because it's cheaper and 90% of the games will be multi platform. (Just saying). MS stance was it wasn't about that games. Again...they had more to prove given the scenario and cost.
Maybe it's my age showing...I guess I demand quality for something that is a premium.
90% of those 90% of multiplatform games are shovelware shit too.
I don't understand why you guys need to curse so much in this forum.

Next up, in a few minutes, is Crimson Dragon.IGN's Xbox One Pre-Launch Party is streaming live right now.
haha, habit, and yes that is how we even talk at work!
what i don't understand is why a forum primarily made up of adults has problems with cursing when not being used towards somebody ...
I blame the moderator.
A couple of things they've mentioned:
"People will be pleasantly surprised. So far, reactions have been lukewarm, but..."
"There's much more to this game than people have seen..."
"I want to replay this game on nightmare difficulty"
(A different guy) "This is a game that I want to go for all 1000 achievement points."
Interesting.

I had a pretty strong feeling that Ryse was going to play better than the initial impressions. I reckon it will be right up there with Forza.
i'd like to hear some opinions on crimson dragon if anyone is watching. also, did they mention how much it will cost?
lol^

It got a 5.9 and they are NOT impressed with it. Repetitive and bland were the words they used.
It looks pretty cheesey, but I've only seen 3 minutes of it so far.
They are definitely not as excited about it, as they were with Ryse and Forza. But that was pretty much reflected in their review a couple of days ago.i'd like to hear some opinions on crimson dragon if anyone is watching. also, did they mention how much it will cost?

It looks quite boring and repetitive. I know it's cliche to say, but I can't see anything that makes it look like a next gen title.
I didn't realize that it was originally developed as a 360 Kinect game. And there was actually a demo of that released in Japan.
They haven't said the price point.
And they're already done, moving on to Fighter Within.
Yeah, I don't think Crimson Dragon is going to be a "Knack" situation. This was boring as hell, and they even said as much. The reviewer even said "well guys... yeah... so this is it..." and they all started laughing.
Oh well
