But anyways, I think this is a system for gamers, not resellers!
I order thousands of $ in stuff from amazon and they usually ship my stuff at like, midnight to 2am....I wouldn't worry. They have logistics nailed down pretty well, i've never had issues with amazon failing to ship something on time. If amazon states it will arrive on "X" date, it will arrive then 99.9999% of the time.
It was just a joke, but amazon is not perfect. I have had items come after the expected date. No big deal either way but who wouldn't want their x1 on Friday here?
It is people like you that devolve our hobby
Got my number about 10min ago and there was only 15 people in line at the time. One guy bought 3. Obviously trying to resell. I bet it works out like the ps4 did and reselling isn't a big success.
Can someone explain this? Apparently the xb1 cannot do dolby digital at launch but it plays movies. I was under the impression that dolby digital was required in order for a device to be certified for blu-ray.

Edited to fix link
That's for the optical output, correct?
Got the last one from my local CrapStop. Now I feel dirty. Hate that place.
I love my GameStop. I guess it depends on your area and how cool the managers at your store are.

My beef isn't with my particular store, but their systematic exploitation of kids selling their games back. Amazon trade-ins coupled with digital distribution will set them straight eventually, at which time I'll point and laugh.
Like smackababy I have never had this happen in 3 years of using amazon. Using an excel worksheet, I have spent around 20k in the past 3 years there, so a lot of orders and what-not; none of those arrived past the expected delivery date. Amazon has a tight ship in terms of logistics, easily the best of any etailer in the US.
Now if you order from a 3rd party seller and someone other than amazon LLC, you're rolling the dice. You should never order from anyone EXCEPT amazon LLC at amazon.com. Also, screw B&M retail for electronics - since amazon has free shipping via prime and no tax for my state...i'll be darned if I go to a gamestop just to pay tax when I don't need to.
Long story short you'll be fine with your shipment. Their shipping hub in KY was built by UPS so their logistics are pretty much completely intertwined and damn near perfect. If amazon says tomorrow, barring a disaster or delivery carrier (eg UPS or Fedex) failure, it will be there.
Full digital isn't happening. You can hate gamestop all you want but they are the biggest video game retailer in existence.
It's not exploiting anything. You don't have to trade games back. There is no requirement to use their trade-in service whatsoever. You're looking at completely wrong.
You're reading my post completely wrong but whatever
How so? You said they are exploiting kids. How? Nobody forces people to trade games to them. You don't have to trade to shop there.
You mentioned amazon trade-in but both offer a service, even best buy offers a similar service. It's optional. If someone takes $15 for their game that's their business IMO. They can do what they want once they buy it as far as I'm concerned.
