I don't hate gamestop personally - i'm not dead set against B+M retail stores. I'll go there every now and then. However, since i'm generally never ever in a rush to get a boxed copy of a game or any type of electronics item, i'll happily just buy it from amazon tax free and with free 2 day shipping.
BTW CMD, just because amazon has a warehouse in your state doesn't mean your state is taxed - it is completely up to state law as to whether amazon taxes you. The laws as they are written are ambiguous enough that "retail sales presence" doesn't mean "warehouse presence" and as a result a ton of states are still tax free from etailers - Amazon has warehouses in nearly every state, including my own, and my state is still tax free. In fact, there are amazon warehouses 30 minutes and 2 hours away from me that i've received packages and items from on numerous occasions.
Anyway, I'm sure the tax situation will change sometime in the next decade, but until then I love amazon for electronic items. The best part is their CS is absolute superb - if I ever need to return anything, it is on their dime and they will generally cross ship me another item at no cost. I love me some amazon. That said, their prices have been slowly creeping up over the past couple of years as to where they don't have much of a price advantage over B+M. Three years ago they had a huge price advantage, now? Not so much. But that price disparity is mostly on non electronic items, electronics are still generally cheaper on amazon (as long as you buy from amazon LLC and not a 3rd party..)
