10x better than the Chromecast.
oooh so hold up, you don't just aim with the movement of your dragon? it is controlled separately? i didn't catch that in the review i read.
Correct. Aiming is controlled with rs and it just doesn't feel right bc of the 3rd person perspective. Maybe that would work in first person.
Let's talk batteries for a second. I want to buy some rechargeable AA batteries instead of the play and charge kit since I can have sets of batteries ready instead of plugging the controller in via a wire. So what are the best ones? I was looking at Sanyo Enerloop but they have some different models. They have the Enerloop XX which are black and have 2500Mah ratings. They have a third gen which has a lower 2000Mah rating but supposedly can be recharged more times. What to go with? Is the difference in Mah ratings worth the trade off with charge cycles or vice versa?
NiMh rechargeables aren't worth it. Pain in the arse. The high capacity lithium ion AAs are great. Last for freakin ever.

1.) My bluray copies won't load into Xbox1. Only pressed BR discs work.
2.) No mp4/avi play ability
Will this change or stay this way?.....
I'm thinking of returning this machine if this crap doesn't change....
It better be for 15x the price
Pricey though. I have some nimh I use but the 360 went for so Lon on rayovsc that it's all I would bother with. Nimh have more capacity strictly speaking than alkaline but they drop volts quickly and the controllers thus do not love as long as it seems they should. I got a stupid amount of aa and aaa batteries last Black Friday. Killer deals at lowes iirc.
However, is there a way to scroll through the OneGuide page by page? My cable box allows me to do channel up one at a time or I can scroll through an entire page at a time.
If using speech you can say "page up." If using the controller, you can the triggers.
Does anyone know how to set-up the guide button on a harmony remote control to go to the OneGuide?
If you program it for an activity and add the XBox One to it. Then select the Xbox One device in the remote's menu, the guide button will bring up the one guide. I have a Harmony One.
Perfect, while it would be nice for it to work in the "watch tv" activity, this will work for now. Now to just wait for logitech to fix the issue where it randomly goes twice instead of once
Yeah what I did was make a Watch DVD activity with the XB1, Cable box, AVR, and TV programmed to it. I leave that on all the time and never change it. I use "xbox on" to turn them all on (TV has to be manually turned on since it goes through my AVR). Then I use the Harmony One remote to switch between devices. If I want to use my cable box's DVR I switch to that device and can access my recordings and start a recording etc. When I am just watching TV or watching a DVD/Blu-Ray I select the Xbox in the device menu and use the OneGuide while I control the play/pause/FF/etc from the remote's buttons. For added convenience I swap to favorite channels via voice commands and page up/down that way (since it doesn't work through the remote). I cannot use voice commands for everything. Volume up and down for example is much faster via the remote. What I do like is I can point the remote at my Xbox and press volume down while the console is selected in the devices menu of the remote software and it will send the volume commands to my receiver. I do not need to be inside the activity or change the devices.
I have mine (now) set-up as "watch tv." That is Xbox, TV, Receiver, and U-Verse box. I changed the exit button to "b" and "guide" to the program guide. I then added all of the functions of the u-verse box onto the screen so I don't have to switch devices to get into my DVR.
Yeah that works too. I am only missing the page up and page down commands and I'd be gold.
My channel up/down both work in the OneGuide as page up/down but it always hits two pages at once for some reason. Logitech said on their forums they are working on it. If you turn on the Xbox through IR does it IR blast everything else on?
Does the Kinect have to be facing the devices?
No, it just does the IR so bright it lights up the whole room.
What I'm hoping ( and can't test as the SO is watching a movie ) is that I can set the Harmony to turn on the Xbox One and the Xbox One will turn on everything else just like if I said "Xbox On." SmartGlass seems like a missed opportunity with the TV app... I'm also terribly annoyed that my Lenovo Yoga isn't "tablet" enough for the Battlefield 4 smartglass app...
The PS4 plays my backup disk but the XB1 gives an error message. "We're having trouble playing this disk..."
ah man that is odd. i may still buy it to have another game. i think i could maybe get used to that. i mean that is how a lot of 3rd person games are, but i do like how on the originals you just move your dragon and it aims with that. back then dreamcast didn't have dual analogs so i guess they just wanted to try and update it with the times maybe.
