Uh, PS3, X360, and X1 are a lot more than 10% of consoles...

It might be close to 10%, but I don't know if I care to try and think of 30 consoles, I would think I could.

You realize NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, etc are all consoles right?

Awesome idea but it costs just as much as a controller, effectively doubling the cost of each controller you want it for. I can't find anywhere that states it supports multiple controllers at one time, but considering it can't use a KB&M unless it's on a windows PC (WTH?), this is really only good to use controllers from another system. I'd have to really love that other controller!

EDIT:

Also note you have to buy a bluetooth adapter that is not provided. Plus there is some really shady marketing for this thing "Works on *virtually* any console" (works on PS3, X360 & XB1).

this is more for people who want to use old 360, ps3, or ps2 controllers on the x1. like those of us who have multiple joysticks that cost well over $100, to be used on the xbox1. wonder if race wheels would work too.

What size TV is that? We only have a 40" so I think it will take up a significantly larger space relative to the rest of our TV.

58"

Yes, you realize they're irrelevant when discussing this particular product which is obviously aimed at modern consoles right? That takes being pedantic to an entirely new level.

Yeah I was thinking race wheels when I was posting that, but do those work over bluetooth?

I can name just as many "modern" consoles that it DOESN'T work on (PS4, Wii, Wii U) as it DOES work on, so what is your point? Get over yourself. It's a very blanket claim that is far from true when they can just easily in so many characters name the consoles it does work on.

why you would think that an adapter that plugs in via usb could work on any of those consoles baffles me.

lol

That means it will probably look like an extra TV on ours.</hyperbole>

I wonder if I could parlay this into a reason to buy a bigger living room TV.

I was looking at TVs this weekend and my GF kept trying to say "what do you need a 65" TV for". I had to say "hey, I've never heard anyone complain about an extra few inches".

Last weeks Southpark about the console wars was funny social commentary. Among other things, some highlights were: "wow, this is like almost 10% better than last gen!" and "Xbox fanboys don't want the truth, they want an integrated multi-media solution!" Unfortunately no Kinect jokes

Yea many women are weird when it comes to TV. I guess they are afraid it will take up space for shoes and purses....well..at least that's what mine does

I wish SP was still available on Netflix. Made it like 10 seasons in when they cut it.

Has anyone gotten Skifta on Android to work with their x1 and their DLNA server? I have my content on an Ubuntu server and Skifta found the content there and it found the x1 both on my network but when I select the video to play it seems to hang and nothing happens in Xbox Video.

Funny enough, I already have a picture with me.

It certainly isn't small but I don't find it to be offensive either. YMMV. You can always try it and take it back too.
How far down the front of the TV does the brace go? I only ask because the TV I just picked up has an extremely small bezel (.5-1 inch). I really like the idea of mounting my Kinect above the TV instead of off to the side on the base. But I don't want to do it at the cost of even a small amount of it covering the viewable screen.

Right around half an inch of bezel covered. If your TV is on a really low profile mount the depth could be an issue though, it adds about an inch beyond the depth of the kinect itself.

Does the mount work on a wall? I think most TV setups have a wall directly behind them... might be another option.

No, there's no easy way to mount it to a wall, you could potentially double sided tape it but I would probably just make a tiny L-bracket shelf at that point.

Rear space I have tons of its sitting across a corner so I can almost turn it a little bit on its base and walk in behind it.

I can't imagine it would be hard to mount it. If you were going with a wall, why not just attach a small shelf instead?

I'd think you'd be fine, I can post a picture if you'd like but I can't find my tape measure so you'd have to guess the scale.

Edit: http://i.imgur.com/O0ByPwv.jpg ugh, I hate what flash does to dust.

I wonder if that would work for me. My options are right on top of my center channel speaker, thus dealing with extra noise, or on top of the TV. If I use that mount and put it on top of the TV, I'd be roughly at about 6 1/2' to 7' high. Is it better to have it on top of the speaker and deal with the noise but be in the middle of where they want it or put it on top of the TV and be pushing the height requirements for it but not dealing with the noise from the speaker...
