So, does MS not charge tax on the Xbox store anymore? I have numerous purchases and have not paid tax on a single item. There are MS stores (at least one) in Chicago, so they have a retail presence.
I'd think you'd be fine, I can post a picture if you'd like but I can't find my tape measure so you'd have to guess the scale.
Edit: http://i.imgur.com/O0ByPwv.jpg ugh, I hate what flash does to dust.
Perhaps I've just missed it, but is there somewhere the controller battery life is displayed?
There is no battery life indicator. Rumble shuts off when battery is extremely low, though.
I did finally exhaust the Duracells that came with the system. According to Smartglass, it lasted around 20-22 hours of gameplay along with random other uses.
The 360 did not show battery life with AA batteries, but did with the battery pack from MS. I just recently bought a plug and play kit and was wondering if there is some kind of visual indicator I just missed.
There's no indicator for any type of battery, I know because a lot of people have been complaining about it.
Well, that is annoying. Hope they patch that in. Guess when I stop rumbling, I'll just plug it in to charge.
First come first serve 2 free downloads of The Maw for 360 (I'm assuming it also works for Xbone accounts if not, um..then if you got a 360 ;p). Know nothing about the game but looks like it had good reviews.
Send me a PM.
My controller never stopped rumbling before it died. Was playing Forza, would have noticed immediately, had it did stop.

Yes it did. I sued AA batteries on all of mine, and the battery level showed up.
Did you get them from McDonalds? I got a few garbage games from them the other night as well. =(
wtf i thought i was the only cat who ate at mcdonalds
To what does the rear of the bracket get anchored? Just any part of the rear of the TV and the bracket just uses spring pressure or something to hold on?
I always used rechargeable AA batteries on the 360 and it always had a life indicator. The 360 did not show battery life with AA batteries, but did with the battery pack from MS. I just recently bought a plug and play kit and was wondering if there is some kind of visual indicator I just missed.
I wonder if that would work for me. My options are right on top of my center channel speaker, thus dealing with extra noise, or on top of the TV. If I use that mount and put it on top of the TV, I'd be roughly at about 6 1/2' to 7' high. Is it better to have it on top of the speaker and deal with the noise but be in the middle of where they want it or put it on top of the TV and be pushing the height requirements for it but not dealing with the noise from the speaker...
this is more for people who want to use old 360, ps3, or ps2 controllers on the x1. like those of us who have multiple joysticks that cost well over $100, to be used on the xbox1. wonder if race wheels would work too.

Kinect even in games will only work with certain commands. "Over Here" is the only command that will work for attracting zombies. So chances are you will be more annoyed when it is not working when you want it to than working too well. It's obvious when it is working because a white sonar circle pops up around your character.don't wheels use something different than a standard controller input for the wheel's movement left and right?
I just bought a Sony KDL55W900A for another room and I am moving my consoles there. The 16.9ms of input lag is amazing for a TV. Love it so far. I've already got a 5.1 setup there for it from before. The center channel speaker is in the way just like the living room so the kinect has to sit right in front of it. If I put it on top it will be in the way of the TV. I thought about mounting it up above but it would not work since the bracket appears to be larger and sit deeper on the TV than I thought. The bezel on this TV is only .5". So I'll have to deal with lack of voice commands while there is any sound coming through as before.
On that note in Dead Rising 3 is there a way to turn off the Kinect features? I mean if my Kinect is sitting close to the speaker so that it will pick up the sound, can I turn it off somehow temporarily to avoid accidently alerting the zombies?

At least the Kinect spy camera can be unplugged now.
