Ok, entered my Titanfall beta key and it took it saying I could download the beta. Where is the beta at?!!? My Live was expired at the time and put in the card and reactivated but still can't get find where to get it to download the beta.

Never mind I got it. No indication anywhere it was downloading, went into my games and apps and it showed it downloading.

I don't see them making deals as a bad thing either, but let's not pretend that this is what Microsoft wants to see. Getting outsold down the run like this month to month is going to leave them behind in install base here in the States, let alone the rest of the world where they get creamed.

All I'm trying to say is they're not sitting back and doing nothing. Not saying its good they have to.

FYI everyone, these types of problems are exactly why we're running a beta - to expose problems at scale greater than what we can get ourselves or even with something like the closed Alpha. This wasn't a capacity issue (at our peak playercount we weren't close to hitting the ceiling), its a bug. The goal is to find all these things before people have dropped money on buying the game - launch day needs to be as smooth as possible

Oh, and for all the speculation going on about the 360 version. Its coming along really well, Bluepoint is full of phenomenally talented devs. We (being Respawn) have been pushing for them to have all the time they need to make it as good as possible, which means extra time for them to polish it up. We'd all like it to be day and date, but a better game a few weeks later is better than an unfinished one earlier.

Here's the problem with that. There are zero actual numbers and a Sony rep is who is saying "nearly double". While, I agree, the PS4 is selling more units, who gives a crap? Unless any of you are on MS' board or have stock in the company, you shouldn't care either. You should care about which console has what YOU want and buy it.

There are numbers, just not released to the general public and that Sony rep's statement was based off of the NPD report.

Exactly. To the gamers, this really doesn't matter, ESPECIALLY for a small sample of a single month. If, in the long run, one gains 70% of the market share, then that's significant because it'll affect developers decisions as to what platform to invest in.

But one month doesn't change anyone's market strategy. And one month doesn't tell the storty of total market penetration. And actually, it doesn't tell much of a story at all.

It just gives fanboys of whichever company something to reassure their irrational loyalty.

Gah... I'm so torn. I like the price and power of the PS4 but I'm one of the ones who would probably enjoy all the other non-game features of the XB-one. I don't see myself ever signing up for Live Gold again, so is there anything part of the console I couldn't utilize if I don't have Gold? I already use a Roku for Netflix and won't really play much online.

i didnt get a titanfall beta code myself, but my brother got a 2nd one sent to his same email address that he got his first one. so he gave it to me. gonna check it out today for sure.

if i weren't going to have xbl or play multiplayer games, i wouldn't even consider an x1 at this point. there isn't 1 single player exclusive in the pipe that i think the x1 is worth the purchase for. ryse is pretty badass and the best single player launch title of either console IMO, but to spend $500 for? don't think so.

but then again, ps4 doesn't really have anything yet. but infamous does come out shortly, and uncharted has already been confirmed for it.

Ok, I got on the beta. Did not get an email, but someone posted a code on gamespot forums, and I snatched it asap.

The hype is real on this one, and 6v6 is not a problem. This isn't like 6v6 on stonehaven in ghost, where no one moves and the match ends 30-20 after 10 mins or whatever the time limit is. Action is nonstop, rewards are frequent, and challenges are plentifull. I'm still trying to grasp everything in the game right now. I played all 3 modes, and they're all fun. Movement is sooo fluid. It's so easy to wall run, and double jump n such.

The one thing that would be awesome, I think, is a moba style tower defense type mode. I think it would really work in this game. Ganking enemy titans is a valid strategy for the last titan standing mode. I figured that out the hard way. When you're in a 1v1 titan fight, it almost turns into a fighting game. You have to time their shields, and utilize your shield effectively. Boost slide side to side to avoid attacks, then there's also the players helping out their titan buddies, and trying to rodeo on top of yours.

I'm still trying to figure out how to rodeo enemy titans, actually. Anyone else on the beta with advice on that?

Anyhow, I was thinking and the fact that ps4 is kicking xbox but in sales early on here is really good. Competition is great right now. If it wern't for all of the freebies from psn+, there would not be no free games with gold, and did you guys notice that you earn points for your achievements that can be redeemed for stuff with the xbox rewards program? I think that's great as well. MS is beginning to be alot kinder to their base now. I like it, more deals and such as well.
