Dude, twitch for speed running games is a lot of fun with people who like that sort of stuff. I'm addicted to AGDQ on youtube (awesome games done quick). They'll speed run 100% mario 64, or 70 stars, etc. It's fun if you have nothing else to do and like watching games, it's catching on though (your own "TV" channel, like youtube subscriptions but live with interactivity).

How do other people broadcast live x1 gameplay on youtube? Are they feeding the hdmi out from the x1 into something else and then broadcasting from there?

Yes. You use one of the various HDMI capture devices that you can buy, which either feed the data to a PC or stream it for you. The problem is that capturing HDMI feeds does not work with HDCP, which means you cannot use this method with the PS4. Well, to be fair, that's only a half-truth. If you use a HDMI-to-DVI connector along with a DVI+Optical-to-HDMI converter, you can do it as that will strip out the HDCP protection from the PS4's output.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the built-in streaming on the PS4. I mean... it works great, but I just don't like giving up all that screen real estate. That's the one advantage of using a PC to do it for you... the PC handles all the overlays and resizing, but your TV's output is still normal.

Aren't those more expensive? For some reason, I recall people used the converters instead of anything else.

A good hd game capture device can cost you around $200. My bro borrowed his friend's box and recorded gameplay of cod for ps3. Set up is simple, and works quickly. Only thing is he wanted to play the game on his 27 inch monitor and it changed the resolution on the tv, also sound of course didn't work on the monitor as it had to go through the pc and it seemed delayed.

Well my disk drive died last night, I got the dreaded grinding sound. Getting a replacement this time around was much easier than with my 360.

No...forza is dead to me now without more tracks. I've done them all a hundred times over. Road America might be nice but after 10 times around I will be bored yet again lol.

Gotta switch the cars up then. There is a huge difference in a track between an F1 car and some C class ricer. But, I suppose I am not one that gets bored of repetitive actions in games. I have hundreds of hours in Diablo 3, over a thousand in Diablo 2, farmed content on WoW until Lich King, play at least some Dark Souls every day, put in countless hours in Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom.

Its not the repetition so much because I have a lot of time in games where you do the same stuff over and I play games over and over at times. Its just that the track never changes. It is the same. In diablo for example you never know what loot will drop or in some games with the randomness of the dungeons you cannot predict the layout. In fighters you can fight the same characters 10 times and have a different experience each time. It just feels different even though it is the same matchup.

In fighters, I spend a lot of time in the training section working on combos. Literally, nothing changes. Just me repeating combos until I am absolutely sure I can do it every time.

Racing has the same differences a fighting game might have though. You have opponents who race differently. Plus, I am always trying to get a better time or a cleaner lap.

I made the ticket friday got the console moday, They included a return ticket and a free one month of live. Thankfully i have been playing titanfall non stop so i didnt need the disk drive .

Nice. I assume it was covered under warranty then? Advanced replacement is pretty nice. Amazon does that and I love it.

Forza is the only game I have that uses a disc and I intend to keep it that way. I only got Forza because the premium pack was only available via disc. =(

Which I don't understand because all the extra content is DLC anyway. There was nothing on the disk except the base game.
