They should make a remastered 1 and 2 and then a part 3. It just fell off the face of the earth. Really sucks.

I always find these comments interesting, just because of how often folks (myself included) complain about rehashing of content. Even I complain that we need good, new IP, yet two of the things I want to REALLY come out on the One are updated versions of the Assassin's Creed series (as I never got to finish it on 360) and an Xbox collection of Kingdom Hearts, as that franchise is spread out over too many consoles for me to get the story, meaning I won't bother with the third game (not buying a 3DS to play dream Drop Distance, which they say the third game follows).

If you get the HD Remix 1.5 and 2.5, should cover all the released games.

1.5 has KH1, Chain of Memories, and 358/2 in "Theater Mode" which is basically the whole story in movie form, all HD remastered. (I'd would have preferred playable version of 358/2 versus CHain of Memories cinematic, but something tells me that has more to do with Nintendo having distro rights to 358/2.

2.5 will have KH2, Birth by Sleep and Re:Coded in "Theater Mode", all HD remastered.

Actually, not sure if you own a PS3 but that is pretty close.

No, I have a One and a 360 (which is going up on eBay soon), which is part of the problem. Even if I did, that still wouldn't cover Dream Drop Distance, which is the last game they released, and the immediate predecessor to the upcoming title. I liked the series (beat the first game on PS2 and Chain of Memories on GBA), but I don't like it enough to buy both a PS3 and a 3DS to get the story. I'll keep hoping a massive collection launches on Xbox One or something, while ignoring the third game until then (or until I see a good PS3 emulator come out or something).

Emulators and Pirate Bay, I guess? Get them all on one platform. Well not sure how 3DS emulation is going, haven't checked.

I gave the FIFA 14 demo a try last week, just because I was bored. It made a mention of Origin in it, which Titanfall never does. I was wondering, does anyone know which EA titles involve Origin, which don't, and what is actually involved with Origin on the One?

I have FIFA 14 and I think it just registers your account (or links it, if you already have one, which I did). You can go online and make a character face or something. I think it is required for online play, as you sign into the EA servers to get the latest information (roster updates and rankings and such). Same with Madden, although I think that is a separate account / server.

That's too bad, I was actually thinking of getting a used copy of Madden for the first time since 2007. If Origin is required, I'm out.

9 out of 10 EA games connect you up to their online servers. At some point you make an account EA, either you didn't realize it, or it happened behind the scenes (linked your live account to a generic account). Madden has been this way since 09 it think and some of their games go back farther then that.

But I don't think its an "origin" account and even if it is that won't mean that you have to have origin on your system. It'll just be some web portal that people can get to on their Ipads.

My problem is that I don't like having to have several accounts to do a single job. I don't mind having Xbox LIVE for console and Steam for online, but there's no excuse to make me create accounts beyond that. I can understand EA's disinterest in splitting profits with Steam on PC, and thereby creating Origin (even if it means I don't buy their games), but making me create an Origin account to play on a console, not even offering any kind of benefit as a result, it's annoying.

The only EA games I've played in the past several years (since 2008) are Titanfall (free with my console, no Origin account), Tetris Blitz! (on my Windows Phone, free, no account), NBA Jam (on my Windows Phone, no online), and some Madden games, Madden 12 being the last one (none played online, none purchased since Madden 08). My stubbornness with EA is older than Origin, so I've not had to touch it. that FIFA 14 demo was the first time I've been asked to create an account with them, and it probably means I won't get any EA games going forward, because I expect them to lock everything down to Origin on console long-term.

Xbox One finally getting WWE streaming. I'm sure none of you like wrestling, but it is a big deal still.


Also, Lil Frier, you don't really "make" an Origin account. It does make one, but it uses your Xbox Live stuff and the creation happens in game. It isn't like you have to go to the EA website and create it. If you didn't know what Origin was, you'd never know you made one.

yeah when i first hopped on NFS:Rivals (bad game) it connected me to origin without me having to do any account stuff. i think i just remember it saying somethign like "connecting to ea origin server" or something, and i had to accept some terms and that was that.

im not big on open world sandbox gta clones, and the last one i liked was crackdown, but that game has a neat art style to it and it has a crackdown vibe to it.

Playing through a portion of the campaign, I recognized influences ranging from (or at least similarities to) Infamous, BioShock Infinite, and Tony Hawk to Prince of Persia, Sly Cooper, and Dead Rising.

Sunset's quest system seems like your typical open world fare. As in, say, Grand Theft Auto V, you'll have a main thread to bring you through the story, and plenty of extraneous stuff to keep you busy on the periphery. The part of the story I played through had me climb a radio tower, fighting tons of OD'd and, ultimately, a gigantic, floating FizzCo mascot. As I battled the giant blue balloon, it talked endless amounts of trash, and I really enjoyed how I had to focus not only on gunplay here, but on grinding and jumping around to ensure my safety from its devastating attacks.

Oh, and tellingly, Insomniac has no plans to include Kinect functionality in Sunset Overdrive.
