I never played Reach, nor ODST, but neither of those featured Master Chief, right?
They did not. I never played ODST myself, but Reach was still a great story, and I think it is probably my favorite campaign of them all.

wow i just read that far cry 4 is coming out this winter! pretty excited about that, part 3 was pretty damn amazing. i hope we see a bit of it at e3 this year. i'm also curious to see how the graphical quality will vary between ps4 and x1. this will probably be the first multiplat game i'll have to choose between.
Some really good features coming in the June update.

I love that they are constantly updating the console and adding in things that people want.
They did confirm that auto sign in is coming in this update.
surprised they didn't mention any "auto sign in without kinect" in that update, considering kinect-less x1's will be in homes starting early june.
Yeah it was confirmed. I figured you would be happy about that purbeast. And smackababy, I agree, some people will try to look at it that way. I just like that they are evolving the console as we go along, and we aren't having to wait for the yearly updates they used to do. With the external hard drive and real name, I believe they have made good on all the things they announced would happen with the One.They did confirm that auto sign in is coming in this update.
Yeah they have been very quick to evolve this time. I own both systems and do find it funny that the only change of note I have seen on my ps4 is the ability to dim that god awful light on my controller, while the Xbox continues to add stuff. To be fair, some of the changes were things that they were just getting back to the way it worked last gen, but they are still showing us that they can move quickly on these things this generation. This is why I always had confidence in the Xbone. Microsoft just has so much UI and software development knowledge that I knew it would be consistently evolving. Something that can't be said of PS side. The only question was whether their vision and ours converge or separated more than it already had. Glad to see an active attempt to answer most of the communities issues (even if sometimes I feel like it had been better if they didn't for 1 or two things).
In b4 "but all that should have been in the release version! MS is just trying to trick you so they can reverse their decisions we said we wanted and enable DRM so our TV won't even turn off if the Xbox One isn't phoning home!"

The PS4 UI has it's problems. Since you can't pin anything, you just have a long line of any game you own, making you have to sift thru everything just to find what you want. Not to mention the fact that they have every app available in the app section, whether you have downloaded it or not. They have some things they can work out on their side, that's for sure.
No doubt, but I dislike having to open an app to see what games and apps I have available. In a way that just seems silly. The major issue facing the PS4 IMO is that someone like me with 17 games installed it sort of lags the scroll animations when you shift the menu side to side. Like you said it can be a long line and will continue to get larger. Luckily the latest ones go on the left. I do like the fact that selecting a game or app will show you your friend's recent activity and the latest news about the game (updates and DLC etc). That's something I think MS should work on, give you relevant info about the game or app without having to open another app separately.
The focus on everything being an App to mirror Windows 8 touch UI and windows phone was kind of a bad decision in my view. It's not something that is unfixable should they want to make some changes there though.
My problem with the Xbox UI is that DLC for games is stupid. If something new for a game I own comes out, it should show when I am looking at my games and take me to it if I choose. And, the DLC should be easily notifiable as having been purchased / downloaded. Every single time a new car pack is released for Forza, I have to wade through and decided which I have and haven't downloaded. I have the season pass, just download that crap automatically...
Maybe, but when it comes to gaming I think the PS4's UI is much better designed. It's more straight forward that's for sure. The XB1 needs more work especially considering the SKU with no kinect. Plus I still occasionally have issues where games won't launch or apps don't work and I have to totally shut down the console (not stand by) to get it working again. So it makes sense that they pushed more updates. Most of the PS4 updates have been minor things under the hood with the exception of share factory.
