Microsoft needs to take a page out of Sony's book and do something similar to the Sony Wireless Headset (now called Gold for ps4 iirc) for the ps3. It was wireless, sturdy, good mic, individual volume sliders for mic/game volume, virtual surround that worked like a charm, and was under $100. I still have mine and it gets passed around from room to room as needed (as you know we have 5 PS3's so sometimes someone needs the headset when nobody is using it).

The days of the little BT headset may be gone for good. There is way too much money to be made on ultra high margin headsets so I think companies are just ignoring anything that doesn't have that type of profit boost. Who knows though, maybe one day...?
Welp, it happened. MS finally did it. The Kinect has ruined my gaming experience. I was fired in Fifa 14 last night as a manager. And all because the Kinect was monitoring how much I was swearing at the game... I had been warned, and I thought it was just warning me as a joke. =(
There is actually an option to turn off ref hearing, so I think that fixes it. Whatever though. It is pretty hilarious.

Yeah, in 2k14 I believe you get technical fouls if you yell obscenities. I was never given a card in Fifa, but the commentators did often remark that the manager had some nasty words for the refs. It isn't really that good at detecting though, because I was almost always yelling at my own players, not the refs. They would repeatedly take their sweet as time passing a ball forward and it would result in offsides because they player had already made their run.
Gotta admit, that has to be kind of cool, frustrating, and interesting all at once. lol
I don't get the CAD mark up. Their currency is near on par with USD. I guess everyone does, in fact, hate Canada.
It will certainly fail in Europe, but that's to be expected. Did you see the 360 numbers outside of the UK? Complete failure. XB1 is more expensive than 360 and being launched against a direct competitor with a better reputation there, combined with features that largely don't matter to those markets (incompatible in many cases actually due to their TV delivery systems, lol). The Xbox titles aren't as popular in Europe either. Ever see what's popular in Germany, France, Italy, Spain? It's far far different than here.

Specs though, people largely don't care. If the difference is large enough visually, people might take notice later on, but for launch timeframe it's all about hype/sentiment/economics.
XB1 may do okay in UK, but is going to bomb like hell in Europe. Same as XB1 should do very well in the US.
Saying XB1 will do well in Europe at large is like saying XB1 will do well in Japan. Not gonna happen.
I am failing to see how the XB1 had had a rough year. It has sold exceptionally well, only eclipsed by the success of the PS4.
Truthfully, I am surprised either is still selling as well as they are. There are so few games out on both, the average consumer really shouldn't be buying one yet.
