That was because the beta only had one location.
Still debating picking up Madden bundle + Destiny... I just don't really care to have the Madden bundle even though I can sell the game. Tempted to wait for a Halo bundle which I might actually like.

MS is in a bad spot, the causal crowd is moving to the PS4. Over at neogaf they said Madden is selling more, if the COD/BF's do better on the ps4 as well then....
It will only continue to get worse for MS as more people keep buying and then friends of those people buy. MS is losing it's once strong hold, all by their own doing and arrogance. This is a good thing though, desperate MS has already been good for the consumers and will continue to be so
The Xbox used to be the Madden/COD box, that is rapidly changing it appears
http://venturebeat.com/2014/09/11/august-2014-npd-madden-sells-better-on-ps4-than-xbox-one/Earlier this week, analysts for investment firm Wedbush Morgan predicted that Sony sold around 175,000 PS4s at U.S. retailers, while Microsoft was right behind it with 150,000 Xbox Ones sold.
Regardless of the article title, either demand for the PS4 is slowing down (I didn't look up sales numbers for other months) or the XB1 is picking up. A month ago articles were saying the PS4 was either doubling or tripling the XB1 sales numbers...for August if this analyist is correct, that is no longer true. It's a .85:1 ratio in PS4's favor...which is much better than .5:1

The US market generally has favoured microsoft overall, I would expect them to see better numbers against sony here than in most other countries, last generation Microsoft had 2:1 lead over sony. But now just look at the rest of the world sales figures Year to date I believe sony has outsold microsoft 2:1 or 3:1 in some places.
The current installed user base is estimated around 5 Million xbox one users with 9 Million PS4 users world wide.
It's a good thing you're so comfortable with that fact you can say it once and leave it at that.good thing i'm not worried about what other people are enjoying, and i can enjoy what i own without them having any effect on my enjoyment of something.
Microsoft seems to understand that the PS4 is getting too much of a lead in install base, and they're aggressively attacking the problem. It'll be interesting to see how they approach Christmas season.
That's because ps3 was only being outsold in the US, Microsoft's home market, and even then the PS3 was holding its own better against the xbox360 than the current situation with the Xbone and ps4. I believe Sony has generally outsold Microsoft abroad though.Sony wasn't dead when the PS3 was being outsold by the 360... PC gaming isn't dead, even though it is outsold by the consoles... And MS isn't dead this generation.
Look back at the first 2 years of the PS3. It was selling a fraction of the Xbox worldwide even Japan while it had not been purchasing Xboxes they only bought a very very very small portion of PS3's. In the US a majority of the PS3 purchases were for it's BD work (which for 3 years was really the only good player). That killed Sony even more because that meant very little in a attach rate which combined with ~$300 in losses per console really devastated Sony's bottom line. That's because ps3 was only being outsold in the US, Microsoft's home market, and even then the PS3 was holding its own better against the xbox360 than the current situation with the Xbone and ps4. 1. Is one console so far behind techwise that it's not worth the development cost for offering a game on the console?
2. Is either console doing so badly in sales that developing for that platform not worth the money.
The Xbox One ran some big sales this September.
At MS Stores they had the 50 dollar gift card + free game (up to $60) + Xbox One for $400. At retailers, there was the free game deal, that also applied to bundles.
If someone was interested in Madden (a top selling game for this time of year), they could get an Xbox One bundled with Madden, and another free game up to $60 in value, for the same cost as a PS4.
There was also the DLNA and MKV file support announcement this month.

To date, the PS4 is easily outselling the PS4
Wonder why ps4 doesn't have NTSF support... couldn't be Microsoft behind that or anything.Agreed. I realized it was a gamble early on when I decided to go with the XB1 instead of the PS4 at release. To date, the PS4 is easily outselling the PS4 but I've never once felt I was at a disadvantage. I don't own many games, but they all run at 1080P (Forza 5, Diablo 3 UEE, and Destiny) so I never had issues with the whole resolution fight. Recently though, I finally feel like it was absolutely the right move. Maybe it's just MS fighting Sony or maybe it is merely about fulfilling promises made at release, but the day MS provided full external drive support for not only storage expansion but also multimedia was huge for me. The XB1 is the only console to have full native NTFS support for external drives, which as far as I'm concerned makes it head and shoulders above the competition in regards to HTPC functionality. Full network DLNA support is coming which will round it out, but finally being able to use large 2TB+ external drive drives for multimedia storage is a big deal. Also, unlike drives used for drive expansion, multimedia drives don't require reformatting so moving them to a PC for switching out files is a breeze. We finally have a compelling HTPC alternative.
I doubt any of this means the XB1 will catch the PS4 in the long run. I think Sony did a great job. However, for those of us that want a more well rounded platform and isn't purely about gaming, I think MS has really done a great job. I can't speak for everyone, but whatever GPU power that was traded off has not manifested itself in a lesser experience for me.
