So they are dropping the price of the Xbox one by $50 and also offering susnset over drive bundle. I may think about picking one up for exclusive games, even though I definately don't need two consoles or have a place to put a second one.
Titanfall is $25 and the season pass is $8.25 on sale until November 3rd
Nice, I was hoping they would go for the knockout with a $100 price drop, but $50 is going to sting a bit for Sony and it still comes with a brand new game so it's almost like a $100 price drop from the bare console. I would definitely get the SO bundle if I didn't already buy my Xbox six months ago.
Yea its only from nov 2 through January. But that will give me enough time to figure out where I'll put it and if I want any other games for it. The tv in my bedroom is smaller but it should do if I do decide to pick the console up.
The ps4 is more in line with the games I play so it's staying in the living room. But SO reminds me of jet set radio and it was a fun game. This also means since it has dlna support I could also box up my ps3 and also stick the Xbox in the main room.
Anyone know what I'll get for a trade in for my ps3. I mainly use it for dlna streaming but seems like Xbox does that now. Controller is a little half broken.
Not enough to do the trade in. It also depends on what model.
Max is $90 for the slim 500GB
Microsoft will give you $100 credit for any operable PS3/360 towards a One, and bundles are eligible. I traded in a first gen 4GB 360 for a bundle, and got a free game plus $50 gift card on top. I don't know if the gift card/free game promos are still active, but the trade in is.Microsoft is offering $100 for a working ps3 with everything. I just gotta buy a used working controller. I wonder if I can use that credit to get a SO bundle coming up in a week.

Best Buy gives $100 for certain PS3 models (can't remember which), I think, and they don't require the controller on trade-in (they'll actually give you an extra $10 if you include it).
As you said, Microsoft will give $100 for ANY 360 or PS3 model that works. However, if you have a Best Buy and a $100-model PS3, that'd be a better route, as you wouldn't have to eat the controller cost.
Yup I checked best buy's site and looks like I just need the console, cord, and I'll bring my half working controller too. I'll wait until the 2nd to do this. They will have the SO bundle and I can order it online for pick up in store near my company. Looks like a good deal to me since I use the ps3 mainly as a dlna box anyway and the one has those features too.

See if you can set up a My Best Buy account and do a pre-order on the bundle still, because you SHOULD be able to get a $10 rewards cert for it. Also, someone said that you CAN pair that console with the GCU deal (you won't get the 20% discount, but you'll get the membership for $30, rather than $100).
Questions:
-Can anyone confirm that the ps3 trade-in for $100 is an online only code or can I use it at a physical store?
-Does it work at any retailer, such as target?
I'd like to stack a $20 target gift card with the $100 PS3 trade-in to get the Assassins creed bundle for $229 before tax, but I'd REALLY want to walk in and buy one. TIA for help!
Looks like the bundle is in stock at my local store so can't preorder.
Woke up to an email about a $10 reward certificate for my points and I also found a $10 best buy gift card from when I picked up evil within for ps4.
So I'll just wait until the 2nd and trade in my ps3 with its controller. That's $110 right there, looking at $130 discount if I can use the rewardzone certificate and the two gift cards all at once. So I should be paying about $247 for it with tax and all. Not bad for a console and game.
One thing I noticed is that bundle does not include a headset. I wonder if it will have a live trial too. With black Friday coming up I need to pick up live and psn plus cards too.

So for the MS $100 you have to buy the system on the MS site. It's a redeem code they give you. Do you have a best buy near you?
I'm waiting until the 2nd to take my ps3 in for trade to best buy. Going to stack my other $10 gift card with my rewardzone $10 certificate. The prices drop by $50 starting Sunday and I'm sure there will be many in stock.
The Sunset Overdrive bundle DOES come with a standard, black headset--the same with the other bundles. They did a review on Windows Central for it, and he mentioned the headset's inclusion. Also, it comes with a 2-week LIVE trial, I think he said.
I don't know if it's online-only for Microsoft Store (are you asking about MS Store or Best Buy?). However, I think that the trade-in offer applies in-store for the Microsoft Store as well, so if the code for it would bother you, the trade could possibly be done in-store. As for the credit, it's for Microsoft Stores only.
Yes, I live in a major city and have a Microsoft store as well as Best Buy.
Thanks for the info guys. That's good to know about the headset. I think I'll just trade the PS3 in at the MS Store, get the Assassin's Creed bundle, and then get the MCC at target with the gift card.
I can't wait for the Master Chief Collection. I've never played 3 or 4! :awe:
I am preloading COD on my son's One and he is flipping out because it was at 40% then went back to 20 something, is this normal?
