So they are dropping the price of the Xbox one by $50 and also offering susnset over drive bundle. I may think about picking one up for exclusive games, even though I definately don't need two consoles or have a place to put a second one.

Nice, I was hoping they would go for the knockout with a $100 price drop, but $50 is going to sting a bit for Sony and it still comes with a brand new game so it's almost like a $100 price drop from the bare console. I would definitely get the SO bundle if I didn't already buy my Xbox six months ago.

I played that for the first time in a few months today. They've added player counts for game types, and they're not good AT ALL. That game has several types (I think they were mostly, if nor entirely, the DLC-specific ones) in the sub-100 range, at least in the middle of the day. One mode topped 1,000 players, I think, but that's it. Honestly, Halo 4 might be doing better.

I can't imagine Microsoft making it anything other than a permanent price drop. They just want to give the impression that it's a limited holiday deal to give people more of an excuse for buying it now.

Microsoft is offering $100 for a working ps3 with everything. I just gotta buy a used working controller. I wonder if I can use that credit to get a SO bundle coming up in a week.

Microsoft will give you $100 credit for any operable PS3/360 towards a One, and bundles are eligible. I traded in a first gen 4GB 360 for a bundle, and got a free game plus $50 gift card on top. I don't know if the gift card/free game promos are still active, but the trade in is.

Yea their website says the SO bundle will be available November 2nd. I'll just pick up a used ps3 controller to send in with it if I decide to go that route. I only use the ps3 now as a dlna box and mainly play on my ps4 or pc. So this would give me a chance to own one for exclusives down the road.

Woke up to an email about a $10 reward certificate for my points and I also found a $10 best buy gift card from when I picked up evil within for ps4.

So I'll just wait until the 2nd and trade in my ps3 with its controller. That's $110 right there, looking at $130 discount if I can use the rewardzone certificate and the two gift cards all at once. So I should be paying about $247 for it with tax and all. Not bad for a console and game.

One thing I noticed is that bundle does not include a headset. I wonder if it will have a live trial too. With black Friday coming up I need to pick up live and psn plus cards too.

So for the MS $100 you have to buy the system on the MS site. It's a redeem code they give you. Do you have a best buy near you?

I don't know if it's online-only for Microsoft Store (are you asking about MS Store or Best Buy?). However, I think that the trade-in offer applies in-store for the Microsoft Store as well, so if the code for it would bother you, the trade could possibly be done in-store. As for the credit, it's for Microsoft Stores only.
