Here is the week of the November 9th ad. And best buy has live for $34 bucks for a year. Guess I'll get that and wait for a black Friday deal for psn plus.

Guess I'm going to choose MMC, forza, and maybe Cod. I don't know about cod since I stopped playing that a while ago but I've also had enough of assassins creed too.

As for the games I'd pick for that, it's a hard call. Since you intend to get the SO bundle, that's obviously out. It's a great game, though. I've voiced my opinion on Horizon enough (fine game, but overall bland to me). Halo's an obvious choice. CoD is fine if you like the franchise (I'm getting it with GCU myself). After that, you're looking at a B2G1 on older titles you could probably get for less by shopping somewhere other than Target.

Yea I couldn't blow it up big enough on my phone to see that it's 3 months for live.

I haven't played a racing game in forever and I may as well get it or the first one to try it. I'm not big on racing games anyway. Since I'm buying the console for exclusives there isn't much out there now that I'm interested in. I don't think I'll have live as soon as I buy the console so I probably will just play sp if I end up with cod, same for halo.

And what I haven't played because I've only had ps4, I can get cheap used some place else. It also depends what games target by my work will have in stock when I get there that Monday. Most multi platform titles I'll probably end up buying on ps4 unless there is a deal.

Just joined all you XB1 owners today with the SO bundle. Wanted the white system moreso than the game, but I actually liked the few minutes I was allowed to play of the game so far. But... a few questions.

Isn't the XB1 supposed to be able to continue downloading / updating while system is in "standby"? How do I put it in this mode? I couldn't figure it out so I just left it at the dashboard and turned off the controller so it would finish downloading SO.

One gripe I have is that I don't think the menus are very intuitive. I had to search for a minute to find "Settings" because I guess it is an "App". Then on top of that, I only found one setting I was actually looking for or that I wanted to set.

Anyway, if I can get the download to keep going without keeping the system on, let me know!

Can I lower this to easy somewhere so I can get used to specific enemies? Outside of cheap deaths, I actually like the game.

Mordor seems hard at first but once you level your guy up it becomes very easy. I was having trouble at first but once I got more perks opened up battles were easier.

I don't have the xb1 yet but on ps4 you hold the ps button and in the turn off option there is rest mode. Holding the Xbox button on the controller gives no such option?

There's a setting to enable the sleep feature. Although, I'm not 100% sure if that allows for continued downloading if the download was started by the user while powered up. I do believe it allows for background downloading, but I'm not sure if there's a difference between them programmatically.

Yeah, I think both consoles are kind of annoying when it comes to finding things. I think they really need to get some user juries in place to find out what people want to see. For example, on the PS4, I was confused as to why I couldn't use the Share menu to transfer a file to a USB drive.

I went to all 3 MS stores in the Denver area and they were sold out of the Sunset Overdrive bundles super fast and they all said they weren't getting more. I have no interest in AC anymore so I'll have to hope to sell or trade the game codes.

Supposedly, some MS stores are is saying it's either the trade-in offer or the $50 off not both. Not sure how legit that is but they accepted my PS3 trade-in with no issues at all.

To the new xbo owners, use the pin function to pin stuff you use a lot to your home screen. To turn on standby mode go to the power settings and put it in instant on mode and automatically download updates and purchases under power options

And, press the button where <start> would normally be to open up the settings options. it took me nearly half an hour looking through all those metro screens before I realized settings wasn't anywhere on them and had to Google it.

I found the Settings under the "Apps" screen. It wasn't intuitive so it did take me a min to find it.

yeah the design of the x1 dash is so bad. it's crazy how many steps backwards they have taken with the x1 dash compared to the 360 dash. finding options down in settings is a pain in the ass, and everything is all named weird and not obvious.

don't even get me started with how shitty the friends list has become.

Oh wow...just noticed that when I redeemed my code for Sunset Overdrive from the bundle, Microsoft sent me an XBL message. In the message was a code that gave me Ryse: Son of Rome for free. I already had played through the game and finished it, but that's still cool. Unexpected free games are always nice.

They even typed out the actual code and said "If you already have the game, give the code to a friend"

Not particularly but it would be my first white console. I guess I can go do the trade in tomorrow for my ps3 and try to use my 2 gift cards online and my certificate if it ever let's me ship to my house. It says add to cart and then only lets you select pick up in store. With no stores within any miles available for pick up.

I could just get the console by itself and just wait until Nov 9th to get the buy 2 get one free deal on games. But the selection of games may suck if halo mmc is out of stock and other titles I may want to try that I don't already have on ps4.

Yea I called a store near my house and work too which is pretty far away, and neither have them in stock but they have the cod bundle and unity bundles.

I could get the cod one but don't feel like paying $380. $250 or so is so much easier haha.

Yea its not. I'll end up with cod anyway from the target deal, play sp, then trade it in if I ever get the Xbox. I don't have any friends that have an Xbox for online play anyway. I'm no longer a cod fan anymore. They've milked it to death and not even the campaign is good anymore. The first one was awesome, then cod 4 also great, after that it was all meh.

If it was my only console the 1tb hd could be useful but I would only be using it for exclusives anyway so its not giving me any extra value at this point.

$100 for ps3 and $10 for the controller. $10 best buy gift card from when I bought evil within on ps4. $10 reward zone certificate. $130 off $349 + tax in my state comes to around $250 or less after all discounts. Same for the cod bundle.

Yeah, that's why I was confused. The CoD bundle is $100 more than the Sunset one, yet your prices were $130 off. I didn't get why.
