Not even Google has had success with their GoogleTV. Now I'm sure since it's Xbox it'll sell a ton but the tv features will be hardly utilized.
I'm right there with you.I personally don't give a crap bout any of this TV stuff I have fios for my TV needs. I never used any of that stuff in 360 and doubt ill use it on x1, if I even get one at this rate.
HBO is owned by Time Warner. You think Time Warner is going to let you bypass subscribing to Time Warner Cable to get HBO?
It's not going to happen.
Spartan Assault was already announced and so is Forza 5. I hope the others are good.
Anyone seen the Angry Joe review of the new Xbox reveal? Sums up my thoughts pretty well.

I saw a supposed leaked screencap of some of the new X1 games that will be unveiled at E3. It doesn't show each title, but you can see a few:
Banjo & Kazooie: Grunty Land
Forza Motorsport 5
Fable IV
Halo: Spartan Assault
Quantum Break
You can see partials of some other titles, but I can't make them out. One looks like the Halo logo though. Lionshead did also announce Fable Anniversary Edition today, which is a HD remake of Fable + The Lost Chapters... for the 360.
Here's the image in question:

EDIT:
Apparently, the bottom right are supposedly Dead Rising 3 and Halo 5.
The knife in the logo on the bottom left does vaguely resembled the 'I' in the Killer Instinct logo, but the KI are smooshed together. So, unless the logo got revamped, that's probably not it.
Time Warner is a business just like any other. If they can be shown it will make more money letting HBO go that route, why wouldn't they? You'd think they'd have taken that approach and blocked DirecTV / Dish Network from getting HBO right? Of course not. Letting them have that channel is just free money.
I do agree with the sentiment that the TV stuff will be lost on quite a few of us (myself included), but the landscape is changing in the TV realm. The old model will be challenged and changed eventually.
was just browsing ign right now looking at some more info, and i was not aware the the xbox one will REQUIRE kinect to even function. so yeah the more i hear the less i am interested.
also, i know that us on this forum are the vocal minority speaking our minds, and don't represent the general consumers, but i thought the comments in this article were interesting:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/21/xbox-one-will-not-function-without-kinect-attached
there are over 2000 comments, and if you just read through the first page, i'd say like 95% of the comments are against the kinect being forced down our throats. in the grand scheme of things, 2k people isn't that much. but it sure is a lot more than the few dozen posters in this thread.

MS is saying that you can turn it off and that they'll provide privacy settings.
There's nothing to make me actually believe this, though. All they've said is "trust us, really!" I don't trust the Kinect to not be watching unless it is unplugged and in a different room.
Nah man, no one wants Kinect.
to even have kinect hooked to xbox1 in my ht i would need like a 25ft cable, that would be running from a closet, then on the floor in the middle of the room, to the kinect that would have to be mounted specially to sit on my center channel speaker. or i could put it on the stand below the speaker, but that could cause some possible rattle so i'm not sure. to run it in wall would take cutting some holes in my wall and about a 45 ft cable.
while i know i'm a very specific case, if the kinect MUST be hooked to the x1 in order for the x1 to even work ... 99% chance it's a deal breaker right there. the only 1% chance is if killer instinct 3 is a launch title.
Or you know, connect it to the xbox where the xbox is and don't use it (if it can be disabled, which is what you were quoting...).
if banjo kazooie is the "huge" rare title I am going to be pretty disappointed.
Yeah its only one of the best platformers ever made. Maybe it will have guns and fighting in it to appeal to the lowest common denominator...
I would take a new Banjo Kazooie or Conkers Bad Fur Day over KI any day.
Oh, fighting games are part of the lowest common denominator now too? Perhaps if they included a cloth map in one special edition and an "action figure" in another, then charged $100 for each, you might be interested.
