Not sure if it's related, but I remember hearing about a lot of sore losers messaging/threatening the person they last played. Maybe they decided not to include it anymore.

I am loving my Xbox One. I like that you can set it so it turns everything on and off when you do the same with your console. I just hit the power button and it turns my tv, Xbox, and Direct TV dvr on. And I am not seeing any picture quality issues with my tv at all, so I am not sure why some people were saying it was darker for them. I'm looking forward to watching football with the nfl app snapped on the side for the other scores today.

I picked up BF since it was the only game my stupid walmart had, and I love the controller. I had to turn the sensitivity down a bit since the sticks are really touchy, but it feels so good in my hands.

For what it's worth I tried plugging my cable box into the XB1 and the picture wasn't darker but it was not as clear when watching HD channels. The software can always change though. The reason I would never really use it outside of this is because it cannot access my Cable box DVR.

That sucks. I was able to access my direct tv dvr using the regular remote, so I have no issue running it this way. And I watched a few football games with it to make sure the quality was good, and it was just as sharp as it normally is.

Stupid question, but is your direcTV setup to use IR? My box is RF and IR but you had to choose IR in the settings, which wasn't setup by default.

Well aren't you a genius. That fixed it. I had no idea that was an option, I never have to go into the settings on the box. Now I can say "Xbox, watch ESPN" and it goes. Or use the guide on the One, which is quicker than my slow-as-Christmas DirecTV box.

I use a Logitech harmony remote and to use my cable box it has to be programmed into an activity. The problem is if I tell the remote that I use my cable box to change channels etc. It won't control my xb1 for blu-ray. There is no way through the software, at least not that I can see, to have it work both the way I want to. It seems that it either controls the xb1 or the cable box and not both because it also programs the menu button and stuff. I would have to switch activities on the remote back and forth which is a little inconvenient. Its no big deal. It is just a feature that doesn't seem to work for my remote. Maybe after an update from Logitech that is a little more specific to the xb1 and its features I could get it to work for TV.

MS is predicting availability through xmas. stay with the plan. And honestly dude...I've played with the XB1 all weekend and mostly i've been using it for netflix. there are no games that would make me want to buy it. Killer Instinct has gotten most of my focus this far. CoD looks like poop, BF4 is okayish but better on PC, etc.

I'm immediately interested in Forza 5 and Killer Instinct. I despise Call of Duty and Battlefield - on all platforms. On PS4, I'm not interested in any of the launch window titles. *Maybe* Killzone. Anyway, I sold my PS4.

Oh and as far as "availability," my area's largest Target received 3 consoles in a shipment, GameStop 2, and Best Buy 3. MS's statement should say "limited availability," lol.

Let's talk batteries for a second. I want to buy some rechargeable AA batteries instead of the play and charge kit since I can have sets of batteries ready instead of plugging the controller in via a wire. So what are the best ones? I was looking at Sanyo Enerloop but they have some different models. They have the Enerloop XX which are black and have 2500Mah ratings. They have a third gen which has a lower 2000Mah rating but supposedly can be recharged more times. What to go with? Is the difference in Mah ratings worth the trade off with charge cycles or vice versa?

You don't like Dead Rising 3? I'm having a blast with it.

IMO Ryse is the biggest disappointment game wise. Its pretty, but the gameplay is just. . . meh.

I played a bit of DR3 and it was pretty fun and had lots of variety. I'll get further into it once I finish a couple other titles.

I just use the standard Eneloops, but I also normally buy them when they're on sale. For example, I only paid $5 for the C-Spacer+2AA pack. I bought two, so that's $10 for 4 spacers and 4 AAs where Amazon is currently charging $12 for just 4 AAs.

oh it's worth it. that's the only game i have and probably will have for a while. online is the best net code i've ever seen in a game, literally. not just fighters, but any game.

I picked up Crimson Dragon like I said I would and I see the problem with ctrls. They should never have put aiming on the right analog. The game should have been designed to play like starfox or panzer dragoon. Such a shame. I wish there were a demo for the game. Not a complete loss though, and maybe Ill get used to it. I like the art work and design. I'll def. Play through it a bit. Just sad that it shouldve been sooo much better.

Can you play a game on the xbox one, then play the same game on the 360...IE bf4? (Obviously having the verdion specific to each console).

Say for example in multiplayer?

1.) My bluray copies won't load into Xbox1. Only pressed BR discs work.
2.) No mp4/avi play ability

Will this change or stay this way?.....

I'm thinking of returning this machine if this crap doesn't change....

Is anyone having trouble getting the Xbox Smartglass app to connect to their Xbox One? I'm not sure what's going on. Smartglass is enabled in the XB1 settings.

oooh so hold up, you don't just aim with the movement of your dragon? it is controlled separately? i didn't catch that in the review i read.

I had that issue once, had to close the app and relaunch it, then it reconnected immediately.

I'll try making a backup later and see what happens. Will report back.

FYI: with blu-ray media the brand and color of the reflective layer make a huge difference. I only use verbatim media because some cheaper media did not work in every player.
