in regards to the SD, back in the day, i don't know about you guys, but i wasn't watching tv on 60" screens. my dads "big screen" tv was a 36" tv lol. sd didn't look too bad on that back in the day.
We had a big screen with one of those like vinyl rear projection crap. It was awful, heavy, and we couldn't give it away. We literally tried to give it. If someone was willing to come get it, they could have it!
The worst part was my step dad claimed the perfect spot, and anywhere else was awful. You guys think TN screens have bad viewing angles, try those awful big screens.
Oh yes...a friend of mine has one still in a second room. It is a Mitsubishi DLP so it isn't as terrible as way back in the day but it is tough to watch. I remember when I got my pioneer plasma and told him to come over to watch hockey, he was all like "but my TV is bigger etc" finally I told him I was buying the beer and he came over. One look at the 65" plasma hanging on the wall and he didn't know what to say lol. No matter where you sat the picture was clear. Everything was brighter and colors popped better. He bought a plasma not long after.

mitsubishi dlps (dlp in general) are nowhere NEAR as bad as the tv's he is talking about heh. dlp's still look great to be honest, if you have a good one. i was watching football on my friends 70" samsung not too long ago. they don't have anything on plasma's but they don't look anywhere near as bad as the tv he's referring to.
I have the option to hide SD channels if there is an HD version. That is the best thing about the one guide to me.

Actually saw two xb1's yesterday at Walmart, first time I have seen a next gen in a display case.
My DirecTV box already has that feature (thank god).
Anyone else find it crazy that places like amazon and best buy have had the Xbox One available all day for order and didn't sell out? I hope demand isn't already slowing for it.

I guess the PS4 can only support 4 (down from 7 from the PS3). Nobody really uses this but I can imagine playing bomberman or Fifa/madden? I wonder which games support 8 controllers?

alright man ... whoever the hell gave Ryse bad reviews is smoking some f'ing crack. i just played it for like an hour and a half or so and i do not want to stop playing it. i stopped because i want to show my brother tomorrow the part that i'm at because he is going to flip his lid when he sees this game. this game is one of the most epic games i've ever played. the executions do not get old to me, and the double executions are a site to see too. sure it is repetitive, but the game is just so damn epic and the story is top notch as well. the voice acting is amazing too, as are the graphics and sound. it is like playing 300 meets gladiator. just epic.
seriously if you haven't played this game because of the reviews, give it a chance. my only complaint is that i didn't get it earlier because it is so badass. i traded in killzone at gamestop today for $40 and used it to get this, and do not regret it at all. this is by far (other than killer instinct of course!) the best launch game on either console, by a LONG SHOT!
I dunno about best launch game for me. I fondly remember Soulcalibur and Power Stone for Dreamcast as well as the first Halo on the original Xbox. It's a very solid title for a launch game though. I have enjoyed many games that are repetitive and have some poor mechanics like Assassin's Creed so I can definitely still get into a title like Ryse. I need to play it some more, but I don't see a 61/100 score there...not when Killzone Shadow Fall is at 74/100. Killzone was a good game if you judge it on MP more than SP IMO. Ryse has it truly beat in many areas.
I thought reviewers were being overly critical of these launch games and after seeing what people think of Knack and Ryse which were both given some very bad review scores, that is reaffirmed in my mind.
