So you're saying that MS forced it on people because once they try it, they will enjoy using it? What about space requirements, not wanting to wake others up in your house by shouting at your TV etc.? Then the Xbone is not for me?
You have to account for space in any purchase. Is my TV big enough or to big for this area? Can I get a double door Fridge? Can I get my couch into the basement? Does my room support a King Sized bed?
As another user said properly setup you don't have to yell at it and if you are finding that you have to it's probably because your game is loud enough that one Zombie attack is probably as if not more noisy then your yelling.
They aren't forcing it on you any more than they are forcing users to by Xbox Live if the want streaming and MP gaming. Yeah sure you can live like that, but is it really something you can call living. Not even saying everyone will love it. MS developed a technology for the Xbox that they felt added enough to the console that they took the safe route with DDR3, cut the CPU/GPU down a little bit, and still had to charge more for the system than the competitor (who was going to bundle the PS Cam but backed tracked quickly with MS's backlash and the opportunity to under cut them on price). They didn't make that choice lightly. They took a lot of chances and will in the near future deal with the backlash of alienating some fans on this choice. But they felt it was a feature that they had have it for developers to use and to differentiate the system from the competitors.
I won't even say you will like it. Just saying that its a core component of the Xboxone interface and expected input system for game developers and one of the major reasons to get an xbone. You would only be getting part of the experience by unplugging it and it will be apparent as you use the system that you are missing something big.
That said. It's the major reason I am using my Xbone everyday while my PS4 stays in standby for weeks at a time.
