Why not? I actually like FPS games on console better for some reason now. Maybe I've just gotten used to a controller a lot more than a mouse.
Yea I have no problem playing with a controller, plus since more of your friends are more likely to play games on the console than a PC, you actually get to play with people you know.

I think it's worth pre-ordering to get the beta for Destiny. If you don't like it that much it costs you nothing but at least you get to see what people are talking about and get a feel for how the game will work.

I really liked the Alpha, more than a lot of full retail games. Maybe you won't like it but I think the game deserves fair try before dismissing it.

I just finished guacamelee on xb1 but apparently to get a good ending I have to find all the mask parts. I don't know if I have the patience for that, some of the later areas really tested my nerves and I hear getting all the choc mool locations is the hardest part of the game.

Also has anyone noticed that the xb1 won't play blu-ray movies made at home? Yes I have a stand alone player but I was testing the disk for compatibility. Have a bunch of home movies from of wedding I was putting on a blu-ray from my HD video camera and wanted to make sure it would play in different players, just in case. Anyway, the video doesn't work in my xb1 but everything else I have plays it. Maybe this was mentioned months ago, I forget if it was.

Did you try it recently? I thought one of the recent updates addressed some Blu-Ray concerns.

You guys are my only XB1 friends I do not know anyone in real life that has an XB1 or really that even games. The draw on the PC for me is that I'm part of a huge gaming clan so I always have huge groups of people to play with along with a packed Teamspeak server. That is a huge reason why I mainly do on-line games on the PC.

I did just that day which is why I brought it up. I think the drive or the software is looking for information on the disk to confirm it isn't pirated and home videos I make do not have this. I don't know for sure.

Maybe I'm a complete idiot, but is it possible to browse or purchase DLC on xbox.com for the X1? It's been probably a year since I been to xbox.com and I'm not seeing the ability. For example, I want to browse the car packs for Forza 5 and maybe buy one.

Its not just you, their store layout is terrible. I don't see anywhere to find DLC packs for games outside the game itself.

The xbox.com website is awful. Even the store front on the Xbox One is terrible. It doesn't show you which DLC you have (and which individual parts might be part of a pack), which DLC is new (I have a Forza season pass and have no idea which DLC I have and which I don't), or any real meaningful information other than "stuff you can buy".

It is really stupid.

That's how I feel, Season Pass for Forza but haven't a clue what it includes and what it doesn't.

I hope they do a total redesign of the store as it really needs it. At least on PSN I can find something by browsing and it tells me if I have it already and let a me download it if I don't have it installed.

60 cars for $50. That's the Season Pass. It's a pretty rough deal, $10 less than the full game for less than one-third of the car count the game includes, and you aren't getting tracks and an actual game. And the best part? After paying $50 for those 60 cars, Turn 10 is going to keep releasing more paid DLC that Pass buyers will have to buy, as it's not part of the Season Pass. This game's going to end up having $100 in cars.

Turn 10 is all about making up for lost profits from new tech through DLC price gouging, I guess.

Nobody cares. Holy cow you cry a lot about DLC. Guess what? In 1994, you got 5 cars, 10 tracks, and were lucky if there weren't a ton of bugs that never got fixed, all for the low price of $60!

You know what you can do about all the Forza DLC? Ignore it completely and you gain and lose nothing. Some of us don't mind supporting continued development on games already released, even if that means paying for more content. You want to go back to the days of "release and forget about it"? Nobody else in the world does.

I never ever buy any dlc for any of the games I own. It doesn't make me happier or provide me with anything extra. My buddy bought the season pass for bf4 on ps4 and usually by the time the dlc comes out I'm done playing the game be it single or multiplayer, or have moved on to other titles.

The best part is you don't have the game, won't buy the game, and think we care that you have a grudge against developers and games.

With all the things you hate you must live an unhappy life or something. You're always whining about some developer not catering exactly to your wants.

I have bought some DLC before, but never a season pass. I'm always afraid that I'll buy a season pass for like $50 and won't get enough DLC to make up the cost. I also don't think a lot of DLC interests me. So I just pick and choose what I decide to purchase instead so I am in charge of what I want to add to the game. I'm fine with it. Some DLC is actually pretty nice and adds some extra story to the game. I appreciate those.

It's even funnier since they proved him wrong and have been giving us tracks for free. The amount of man hours that went into those tracks is insane.

Does the season pass include those tracks or just the base game? I thought they were just being added to the game for free.

You had a point...until about the first sentence. I had Forza 5 played it extensively, then traded it in to Target because they were giving $42 for it. I even intend to re-purchase it once it's $30 or so, unless I get Horizon 2or The Crew first.

I've purchased DLC in the past as well, it's just been about 6 years (Rock Band 2) because none of it intrigues me. I don't feel like I need more maps in Call of Duty, and certainly not for $50. Halo 4 was short on the maps, but my cousin played co-op locally, and he had the Season Pass. I almost got the pass for Titanfall (which is actually a decent deal, since it's only $25), but I don't play it anymore, nor do my friends. If we pick it back up, I might get it for the sake of getting Achievements.

Point being, no matter how you want to look at it, Forza 5 has the worst value with a Season Pass I've ever seen. It's a $20 value, I'd maybe get it for that much. The guy said he didn't know what the Season Pass was, so I told him and gave an opinion. I know I've given it a few times here, but it's pretty crazy how people are interested in defending it. I get some make use of map packs in shooters, but those car packs are just absurd.

The weirdest part is that you think that because I don't get a DLC boner, and I make my opinion of the DLC pricing in the industry known, it somehow makes me miserable. I'm just fine, thanks.

Not sure what I was proved wrong about on the tracks, but I've said that I was ecstatic with the return of Nurburgring (not sure if I have on here), and the general fact that they've given us some free tracks (Long Beach, and either Road Atlanta or Road America, can't recall).

Thing is, great as those gifts are, that doesn't make the cars worth $50. I wouldn't want to pay $50 for 3-4 tracks and 60 cars. I mean, you talk about the man-hours in the free tracks, but it's not like they didn't put those into the original 13 tracks. So, even if the tracks were in the DLC, you'd be talking 4 tracks and 60 cars for $50 vs. a full game, 200 cars, and 13 tracks for $60.

I mean, I get DLC is mostly a sucker's game (minus GotY releases), or a die-hard thing. I get some people enjoy the same game long enough to make it worth the investment. I'm willing to accept some price hike in the DLC, but the idea that we're getting 30-40% of the content (just from a car/track standpoint), but we're paying almost 90% of the price for less than one-half the content.

I think CoD's pricing is excessive, but that's mostly because I'm fine with the number of stock maps, but I know some (my dad, for example) play those games almost-exclusively, and find value in them. But they also are giving you something that really changes the game drastically. Cars are MOSTLY cosmetic/sentimental to people in these games, and while the creation might take a lot of work, I just don't believe the result to be worth its price tag.
