So, I have been having an issue with my Xbox One for a bit now and am wondering if anyone has any idea before I put in a support ticket with MS. My Wifi information is randomly being lost by the console. Like, every so often, I will get disconnected from Live and unless I do the "setup wifi" option and reconnect, I can't get any connection. If I lose connection and then go the "check status" it returns "Wifi connection is not set up." It wasn't nearly as bad (happening like once a week at most) until I started playing Destiny this weekend. I went so far as to assign a static IP to my Xbox's MAC and even forward every port (1-9999) and that hasn't really helped. I have no wireless devices that would be interferring and nothing else loses the connection. This happens on both N bands (2.4 and 5 ghz) and nothing else has a problem with the router.

Any advice or settings I could possibly tweak? I have a Buffalo Router running DD-WRT, and I'll have to check the versions before I get home. I initially thought this might be due to a bug in the update preview (once it started happening frequently, initially I figured it was just router interference), but I've opted out and don't appear to be on one ATM.

Does EA access have any games worth the subscription yet? (forgetting Madden. Ever since playing Madden 95 on my Sega Genesis, I've had zero interest in those games. Yuck.)

Yes, To me it is worth it. I just bought two of the games (disc) already for my kids christmas. Now I'm selling those on ebay and will download those same two games and three more wanted games for $30 a year.

It's an excellent value in my opinion

p.s. I really like the idea of downloading games and not dealing with disc anymore, so that's even more added value.

The early release has a time limit IIRC and I believe the demos do. However, any game that is free for the Vault is just that: completely free of any restrictions not placed on retail copies.

Same. I have Titanfall on disc and I wish I didn't (well, it was discounted so I'm glad I do...but still.) I'm SO GLAD I preordered destiny in digital form and have Forza as well in digital form. It's amazing to just select the game and go, as opposed to dig the disc out and shove it in.

Madden has improved slightly in the last 20 years, fyi.

If you are subscribed to EA Access, the full Madden 15 game is playable for 6 hours as a trial, then you can buy it for 10% off if you want it. Or, wait until it's added to the vault sometime in the future. You can play last year's Madden right now for "free" under the sub.

NFL 15 and FIFA 15 have/will have the same full trial but I've not paid attention if it is the same 6-hour limit as Madden.

I briefly played it at the Microsoft store near me. I beg to differ. The only fun I'd have with it is seeing how crappy I could make a team be.

All the full trials have been 6 hours. I expect that will be the standard.

This years madden is good, I've got it on ps4. I never buy madden but after playing it thru ea access I knew I needed to buy it

Are any companies making a alternative to the X1 controller? Im on my 3rd official controller and all have the same issue of the left stick getting stuck.

Surprisingly, I don't think there are 3rd party controllers out yet. The only ones I can find are the MadCatz TE2 and the Razer Atrox fight sticks.

I suggest you fire up the old version to be reminded how...dated it looks now. Halo 2 was an original Xbox game - it predated the XBox 360. The rendering quality there looks to be better than reach, roughly. Looks great to me.

What do you mean? It's the same map but with new better textures, better resolution, better frame rate, etc. Looks great to me compared to Halo 2 zanzibar.

the game is an HD remake, not sure what you are expecting.

also, the youtube vid isn't really indicative of the 60fps.

but damn, the sound DEFINITELY is upgraded like shit. weapons sound awesome.

The more videos and info I see about MCC, the less hype I get about it. I guess I forget that I've played this all before and when I'm reminded, I care about this remake less and less. I never was big into the multiplayer, that seems to be the biggest draw here.

i'm not hype at all for it, but i'll probably get it just to play the campaign coop with my brother and friends. coop is tons of fun in halo to me. mp is also fun in general but yeah, i've played it all before so it's tough to get real excited for it.

Looks good to me. However, I really wish they would have kept the battle rifle sound, the rest of the upgrades sound fine.

Either way this makes me want to play it again. Used to play on a projector with 1-3 other friends for hours a day. Was an absolute blast.

And to the guy who said he never got into multiplayer - WHAT??? I never finished the campaign
