Bush is still going to win. Remember this is the year the red sox won the world series despite their silly superstition about the Babe Ruth curse, even after being down 3-0 in a 7 game series. This is all just to show you that your foolish superstitions mean nothing , only God's will counts.
Duh, it ain't the people, it ain't gods will, it is whoever wins the Redskins gameOriginally posted by: gflores

I thought it was the people that elected the president, not God's will. I guess I was wrong.

I speak personally with God every night (you should see my cell phone bill!) and he has assured me that Hell would have to freeze over before Bush would be re-elected. I'm sorry you have to receive such bad news from a third party, but he's busy rooting for the Packers.

To really analyze this, however, I need to see all the statistics - like is this the equivalent of flipping a coin 15 times in a row and coming up heads? Or does the incumbent usually win, and do the redskins normally win at home...
I suspect the latter.

Since sports came up, maybe you guys can clear something up for me. Oh and I apologize if this is threadjacking. Why are their sports teams named after Indians when we never supported such a thing? Braves, Redskins, Indians, Chiefs, etc. If we started one called the Fighting Whites would you be offended, I'm sure some of the face painting drunken hooligans would surely have a good answer for me.

Many Christians including myself believe that not only does God affect who leads the nation but God actually affects what career every single person has.
What you do with that opportunity is totally up to you.You would not get any job at all if it were not for God's willing it. The President is no different except that he has alot more responsibility and alot more to answer for. If you believe in God I have to wonder why you would dispute that his power could be so great as to effect the minds of millions of voters to get his desired result. For the people that do believe in God , when you vote are you going to vote what you think God's will is because you know that is what is right or are you going to vote for what you think is best for you personally? Im not concerned about myself because I know that as long as I try to do God's will over my own that he takes care of me.

This is the second time I?ve heard this from a Christian. I never got the opportunity to ask the first one, so I?d like to ask you. ?Why do you feel that God affects what carrer every single person has?? I would appreciate it if you would elaborate on this so I can understand where your coming from. Many Christians including myself believe that not only does God affect who leads the nation but God actually affects what career every single person has.
