Anyway, yes, Russian relations have not been great. Both America and Russia have done things that was not praiseworthy. However, it is wrongheaded to make relations icy with them, much less have any kind of sanctions.

If anything we should be sanctioning China for all their nonsense in the Pacific. We can source Mexico for cheap manufacturing. We no longer need anything from China.

Lets see, both the CIA and FBI have proof they were hacking into our elections, trying to hack both parties and other methods as well (compromising govt. officials). They are arming and fighting on the side of Assad in Syria, and arming Iran and other enemies. McCain (Chairman of the Senate Armed services committee) says they are our largest problem, far bigger than Isis or any other... But do you really need more than the first sentence? FFS, they are actively trying to infiltrate our govt. WTF is wrong with you?

Our 17 intel agencies released a joint statement months ago officially stating Russia interfered in our election to help Trump and hurt Hillary, idiot.

Or do you just play one on TV??

Are you aware of the concerted effort to dispute that?
Maybe you'd like a taste. 3, not 17.
FRANKEN: And I want to thank General Clapper and – and Attorney General Yates for – for appearing today. We have – the intelligence communities have concluded all 17 of them that Russia interfered with this election. And we all know how that’s right.

CLAPPER: Senator, as I pointed out in my statement Senator Franken, it was there were only three agencies that directly involved in this assessment plus my office…

FRANKEN: But all 17 signed on to that?

CLAPPER: Well, we didn’t go through that – that process....

I suspect to some degree those types do, it just doesn't affect how they act as it might people with moral values.

Probably some of both. There are certainly some troll types that actually do get it but wont act like it due to morals, but I would imagine most Trump supporters (not necessarily trolls) are the type do have morals but simply don't grasp complex issues. "Brown people = bad, freedom = good. Higher education = bad, Jesus = good"

And that "Russian hacking" revealed how awful and corrupt the Hillary campaign was, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the left's hilariously unironic and historically illiterate transformation into McCarthyites

I agree, Hilary is corrupt and awful. Like most politicians she conspires with big business and her party to get what she wants. She screwed over Bernie Sanders and lost the election due to constant lying and getting caught for it... That all sucks as does Hilary, but it doesn't begin to compare with a US politician conspiring with Russia. Ifs f#$%ing Russia!

WaPo: Trump administration moves to return Russian compounds in New York and Maryland

The Trump administration is moving toward handing back to Russia two diplomatic compounds, near New York City and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, from which its officials were ejected in late December as punishment for Moscow’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Then-President Barack Obama said Dec. 29 that the compounds were being “used by Russian personnel for intelligence-related purposes,” and gave Russia 24 hours to vacate them. Separately, Obama expelled from the United States what he said were 35 Russian “intelligence operatives.”

Not only are you stupid (can't figure out yet if real of tribal) but you don't even remember basic history of your lifetime.

The was never a consensus as to WMD in Iraq. Cheney cherry picked the intel to give the rational to perform the action they already wanted to do. Dems voted for the War party under fear since 9/11 was so close and the Bush Cheney propaganda that liked Iraq and 9/11 was successful. Yes they share a large part of the blame for the war vote

Unlike you I am capable of honest evaluation.

I think the answer is pretty simple, if you look at what they generally say it's something to the effect of either 1) The allegations against Russia aren't proven and this is Democratic fearmongering or 2) We should want better relations with Russia anyway. This very closely mirrors the messaging coming from GOP elites, so really it's the same answer as it always is: conservative elites framed a message, they accept, believe, and repeat that message.

If tomorrow the GOP elites changed their mind and went back to messaging that Russia was evil it might take a few months but their posting would come to reflect that change of opinion as well.

It's a crazy turn around. We went from they are an evil empire we must fight off at every opportunity and build enough nuclear weapons to blow the Earth to dust to..., meh, they ain't so bad. Let's be buds and go bomb some mooselambs together.

What?!

Even in 2012 Romney was hard against them and they blasted Obama for not being tough enough.
Now we're giving them free pass to destroy our democracy?

Whatever it takes to get tax cuts passed huh Paul Ryan?

This WH is colossally stupid. And even worse, they don't seem to realize it. It's going to end up costing some people bigly. Like needle in the arm, bigly.

1. You're ok with russian meddling in our and others elections and invading other non aggressive nations?

2. It takes Decades to build up the infrastructure like China has to make our junk we buy so cheap. So you're wrong.
