I wonder what happens faster, burning something or letting it decay.Trees that decay release as much CO2 as when they're burned. One thing I do want to experiment with is a pyrolyzer. That creates a form of stable charcoal that can be buried, or used as a filter or plant food. It captures the carbon in solid form.
