Watching all the copium going on has been great. The icing on the cake is going to be if Trump's administration actually does fix everything. Democrats will really not like that because they want him to fail.

I'm kind of jealous right now. We're still stuck with Trudeau.

lol, lmao

We already went through one of these and he did not "fix everything". Pretty far from it.

When Trump was in power stuff was way cheaper, crime was lower, the border was somewhat under control etc. Just had to deal with mean tweets once in a while. I feel this 2nd term will be better. The first time he went in knowing nothing about politics. Now he has more experience. I'm sure he's been watching and studying things for the past 4 years too, in preparation for him being president again. Either way, time will tell. At the end of the day a politician is a politician. Big promises but they don't always come to fruition. Kamala would not have been any better. Basically would have been the same as last 4 years.

I watched half of it, it's not funny. Claims "we" endured Obama, man it really sucked having the economy come back after the recession during Bush's admin, I dunno how I endured that.
You endured him being a black man in the White House for 8 solid years.

I mean, you might not have cared at all about him being black, but tens of millions of Republicans did.

Here's a well written and thought out piece on coping with the coming Trump presidency.

People need to get a grip. Jesus Christ its not the end of the world as we know it.

I don't support Trump but yall need to relax a bit and get on with your lives.

Swings like this in history are not new, and in fact they are needed to balance things out. Dems need to read the room on a lot of issues and get real with the times.

You obviously are just talking out your hat and haven't paid attention to what's been happening politically in the USA since 2015. Back in your lane...

Trump inherited Obama's economy which after bashing it during the campaign it suddenly became amazing after he won. "Trump will be different this time" people should be visited by the nearest available wallet inspector.

You are missing the fact that Trump didn't do anything his first term to make any of that to happen, it was all policies put in place by Obama. When Trump's policies started to show, the economy started to weaken starting in 2019 and Trump and his administratin did everything they could to artificially prop it up. But luck have it, COVID happened, allowing his failurs to be hidden by the pandemic. As for the boarder, if you spend a few minutes researching, you will find that the boarder crisis started in 2019 where the trajectory of boarder crossing started to rise substantially, dropped during COVID, then returned to the same trajectory after.. Which is why the boarder crysis was predicted before the 2020 election.

So I don't know where you are getting "I feel the 2nd term will be better" as his firs term was factually a failure. OF coures you have to have the integrity to do the research and have the ability to use critical thinking, which many "believers" are incapable of doing. So don't tell us you have been stuyding things for the past 4 years, because clearly you haven't been, or if you have been studying from a bias filter with blinders of the actual facts. You obviously have been ignoring the polices he plans to put in effect his second term, because if you have been paying attention, you know this country is in for some dark times ahead and you along with the rest or us are going to pay a heafty price.

The person you are responding to lives in north bum fuck Ontario and frankly is not remotely qualified to discuss the experience of Trump’s first term.

As you're about to find out, you're also stuck with Trump. Enjoy your recession when the Canadian lumber mills close and Canadian auto manufactures and oil patch go with massive layoffs in the face of Trump's tariffs.

We have very similar issues here in Canada, so can still relate to what the US is going through, and what people want to fix.

I'm also not the only one who thinks this way, see it everywhere IRL and online, and even outside of political discussion settings. People want change. Well Americans got it. It's our turn next year, hopefully. Yes some stuff like tariffs will be hard on us but we should be doing the same, especially to China. Need more leaders that actually put their country first. We need to create more jobs here and more manufacturing of goods here. Once Trudeau gets the boot things will start to get better but it will take decades to fix. The damage he's done is going to be very hard to fix.

Complaining about things costing too much then saying you want this. Perfect.

Oh sure. Ok.

The facts are that these problems exist and people experience them every day, and people want change. It's really that simple.

Voting based on facts instead of feels is why Trump won. The left always only vote based on feels.
Trump wouldn't know a fact if it smacked him in the nose and you obviously don't either since you think he does. If you want to discuss Canadian politics, start a thread or visit another. Your comments here about last week's election are absurdly naïve and foolish.

I love the logic he has: government making things costing more through taxes to try and encourage companies (via consumer demand) to seek a certain outcome is fine, but things costing more so people are encouraged to pursue a separate set of outcomes is not okay.

Then provide the facts you are spouting. You still have not. Show us. You are just a typical low information Fox News watcher. Crime was not lower under Trump. He added 7.9 trillion in deficits and lost 2 million jobs in four years. You are ridiculous

Actually talk to people. Business owners, home owners, anyone. These are all things that people experience. If you don't experience any of these then you are VERY privileged.

This was the first results of a google search for "crime in the US".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9M2dA48NF4

Same issue here in Canada, the main issue is lack of accountability. These people who do crime are out on bail the same day they're caught.

If you want to have fun just lookup crime in NYC alone. Flash mobs completely decimating entire stores, or even stealing packages right from delivery drivers. Anyone who denies this stuff is happening is very ignorant and in denial.

Here's one clip that is local, and I can vouch for this place being broken into constantly and have seen the damage for myself.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z17HGOHEHKs

This is an issue that most people are aware of, and want change. Voting out liberals is a first step in getting change.

Yep the only president since Herbert Hoover to have less jobs when he left than when he started his presidency.
That's some serious shit. Almost 100 effing years to see this kind of incompetence.

Stop feeding the ignorant troll. These brainwashed idiots are unreachable. As you can see the ignorance isn’t just an American thing it’s global and until we figure out how to combat the bs on social media it’ll be pointless to engage.
