i'm so glad the republicans who are now in power are champions of addressing costs of food, fuel, housing, as well as ensuring rising wages. /S
Hope they do something, seems both Costco and Winco are getting their costs jumps in right after the election. Eggs went from 4.88 an 18ct to 6.08 at Winco. I don't think it will slow down though, righties don't like telling companies their prices are too high.

I honestly never thought people were so dumb that feelings became facts. Red squirrel is classic example. He can’t grasp more people voting for Trump or feeling crime or the economy is worse now does not make those things facts. It makes it feelings. If 10,000 people feel that inflation is at 40% right now and not 2.6% that doesn’t make inflation 40%. The dumb burns

He can’t acknowledge Trump lost 2 million jobs as President and increased the deficit by 7.9 trillion and was found guilty of 34 felonies. Those are facts. To him and all the magats, “many people say” has replaced STEM.🤷‍♂️🤣
Let me suggest again just how awful a person you would have to be to vote for someone like that. That is why they won’t see it. Conservatives have been made to act morally out of profound threat that people who are evil are damned. Liberals call them stupid because they are so obviously delusional but how stupid would you have to be to do something to wrong and admit it’s going to cause you to go to hell. They only bought into their moral system under threat of penalty of death and learned how to fake it. What did you think would happen if someone came along who said, I’m the new judge jury and hammer and we are now demanding revenge. They are going to jump on that with teeth bared. Time to flip the world upside down and loose the dogs of war that were so deeply repressed conscience free. It’s what we long for, a chance for revenge for being damned from birth.

What remains hidden is the result, the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth that’s to come.

It is perfect conservative projection. They think liberals would be mad if life is better.

This is because they actually prefer life to be worse rather than be wrong.
But neither they nor liberals really understand why and absent that nothing really changes. We will just go through endless cycles of Karma, cause and effect. Escape requires a different state of consciousness that collapses duality and leads to the joy of being. The observer and the observed are one. There is only love.

Am I correct in my figures? Seems that in terms of the popular vote Trump beat Harris by the same margin that Hilary beat Trump in 2016 - 3 million votes. In fact as a percentage Trump did worse in 2016 than Harris did this time (this time 76 million to 73 million, then 66 million to 63 million).

Which implies if the electoral system were as biased towards the Democrats as it actually is towards Republicans, instead of talking about how total and overwhelming Trump's victory was, we'd now be talking about Harris's victory (with some griping on the sidelines about the popular vote totals)

The fun part is how the exact same doffentrial is treated radically differently.

@Greenman can attest to this.

I remain disparaged, I work with people that constantly remind me of how horrible they are, while they claim "victory". I'm not actually that liberal, I'm probably somewhat conservative in actuality. Today my direct supervisor was needling me about how great things would be under Trump, going forward. What I wanted to say to him was basically this. "You and your ilk become enraged at the thought of a woman dumping a clump of cells, or a parasite in her body that's a partially formed human. You're the same type that would not consider someone escaping political persecution, or simply the chance to better their life and their children's as deserving of a life you take for granted. I suspect that if the god you believe in really existed, he would be horrified by the thoughts and actions you espouse. If there is a judgement, I think you'll be on the wrong side of it. Enjoy the thought of lower taxes and cheaper gas, because the rest of you is simply rotten".

What I told him was "I hope you get everything you voted for".

I'd ask him to clarify what he wants next from a Trump administration that would be so great. Make him defend his position without talking back.

I know this feeling well. But what does it really say. His vote was for you to have a better life, delusional as he may be. Your wish for him was the disaster his vote will likely bring. If there is a God which will he judge harsher? I don't feel I need a God to tell me. Remember, I know your feeling well. Just saying if you feel I am singling you our. What we feel and what is justifiable are not always the same thing, no?

I would suggest he ignore your advise because you do not know his individual circumstances. I used to do the same, offer advise and was told to mind my own business. That was better advise than I gave.

So you mind your own business here, but when someone dares to build a little more housing in your city, you feel like it's your prerogative to butt in on what other people do with their property.

Delusional people should be questioned about their delusions. We live in a community and are accountable to one another.

I'm sorry but your characterization of my actions on housing in my neighborhood are delusional. I voted against property tax protection for homeowners in California, Prop 13 and have never voted or taken actions to restrict construction of housing. I believe that people and especially children have a better chance of experiencing a sense of oneness with the universe when they grow up in a natural setting rather than just occasionally getting to a zoo or a park. I could say much more but why bother. Your tea cup is full.

I know what he thinks he wants. He thinks Trump was unfairly convicted, that Biden is a predator and a criminal, and that Kamala singlehandedly opened the border. What he wants is for the Demoncratic baby killers to go back into hiding, and for the country to go back to 1954.

Some people thinking we need a dictator is not, by any means, a new development. You can go back to any point in US history and find guys like this and worse.

The more I think about this guy the more amazing his statement is. Like... Hitler led to the literal destruction of his entire country. It's one of the few instances in modern history of the debellation of a state. There are few examples of a more ruinous tenure as head of state than that.

I saw somebody else favorably compare Trump to Hitler because the latter got the German economy "back on its feet". No mention of what happened 1939-1945 tho which does seem like important context.

And that 1939-1945 was basically an inevitable consequence of what Hitler was doing domestically. Without plundering neighboring states the German economy was on its way to collapse again due to Hitler's policies.

Reminds me a lot of Trump, actually. When his supporters talk about how great things were when he was president they conveniently leave out 2020 or pretend someone else was president during it. Trump was fine (being very generous here) until a crisis that required him to actually do the job happened. He was immediately overwhelmed and then switched to blaming everyone else for his failures, as he always does.

"Make America 1930s Germany Again" would be tougher to fit on a shitty red trucker hat though.
