Trump’s ‘Knock on the Door’
The former president and his aides are formulating plans to deport millions of migrants.www.theatlantic.com
Holy fuck.
Exactly why Trump never launched the comprehensive deportation program he promised is unclear even to some veterans of his administration. The best answer may be a combination of political resistance within Congress and in local governments, logistical difficulties, and internal opposition from the more mainstream conservative appointees who held key positions in his administration, particularly in his first years.
Well, we all know that T has proposed all kinds of crazy shit, much of it off the top of his unknowing head. Big mistake to give him or anyone like him power. Trying to summon red states to send their NG troops to blue states may not get off the ground much less fly.Sounds like the start of an active Civil War

My local MAGA are much too concerned with wanting a military coup to takeover America for MAGA. Or with declaring war on Mexico cause "illegals, drugs, and gangs / cartels".I'm just wondering, even so. In our culture of positions about the world, does it seem like people are tired of standing firm on the longtime Cold War "do or die" attitudes? Are they tired of standing together against Russia and DPRK? Is that an aspect of the current political cultural direction?
In a way, foreign relations is transactional. It's just not transactional in the way Trump and supporters think. Like providing US security guarantees buys US influence, tamps down on nuclear proliferation, and supports a post-WW2 order that benefits us politically and economically. It doesn't need to always be immediately transactional like Trump and team think. They, like Trump, view foreign relations as transactional. Europe should be paying us for protection, should be bowing to us as the superior people.
What ever will the MAGAts do when Air Force One is denied landing clearance because Trump is onboard? 🤔Jacking up the price of coffee is a good way to stick it to the libtards.
Yup, keep working through that Hitler playbook.Sounds like the start of an active Civil War

Well . . . .
I stopped going to church back in 1995. Maybe I just didn't want to take the trouble. Maybe I just got tired of ritual. Lately, my excuse is a sense of being agnostic. I mean -- for the latest thoughts about it -- how can I be sure that God exists if my country just elected the Spawn of Satan? Of course, it seems intuitive that perception of a real propagator of Evil might lead me to HOPE for God, which might be BELIEF in God.
But now, I've got a reason to go to church weekly. I can pray for one thing, which would require some other person I don't know who thinks they've nothing to lose. And people would say "You can't pray for that! That's wrong!"
I sure as hell can, and I will, damn it. I'll pray for somebody straighter than Crooks. Meanwhile, I could wish that Trump has some serious medical problem for which treatment is only available outside the US, and they deny him the visit.

All of the talking head shows.Big Pharma is a major advertiser on Fox News as well a media in general. Hope they are happy.
Time to buy a 3 lb bag of morsels. I saw the writing on the wall with cacoa when Costco stopped both of their in house morsels about 2 months ago. It will be made much worse with more tariffs.
Praying for murder and illness, and you think Trump is the evil one.
I just stepped in here amidst the "feeling versus facts" conflict.
I've proven here and in other threads that Trump supporters, new and old, don't know the facts and are equivocating about them at every turn.
Each day since Trump's victory has been announced, the news just keeps getting worse. I have several friends my age -- mid-70s -- who are deeply anxious and more so every day now.
This time, we're stunned by Trump picks of Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard for AG and director of national intelligence. Responsible legislators and commentators are aghast, and so am I.
It looks likely that these appointments won't float, but then -- we can never be entirely sure.
What we can be sure of is this, and it should cause any common sense American deep concern: THERE IS A CRIMINAL GANG ATTEMPTING TO RUN OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
I've noticed that Trump supporters now -- locally in my "face-to-face" experience -- are treating citizens of the opposition as if they should shut up, shouldn't voice opposition, or simply don't matter. This just proves again the underlying idea that the electorate -- the GOP portion -- have been infected with the idea that elections are and SHOULD BE a zero-sum game: As long as THEY win, nobody else matters, as if the Democratic (or any) opposition doesn't exist.
And so I hate to say it, but we cannot count on our "fellow" GOP citizens to engage in constructive dialog or assist in saving the Republic. We're going to wake up every morning with the worry that some other disaster is in the making.
How long will it take, and how much damage will be done, before the Trump supporters themselves develop a sense of loss and harm? You can lead a Moron to the Truth, but you can't get him to accept it. They are not going to be any help what . . so . . . ever.

Donald Trump Is Banned from 37 Countries as Convicted Felon, Including Major Allies Like Canada and U.K.
If elected president again, Trump would need special permission to enter several key countries for maintaining foreign relations.
Donald Trump may face travel restrictions with his newfound felon status, potentially complicating his presidency if he were to win another term in office.
Thirty-eight nations, counting the United States, bar felons from entry, according to World Population Review. Those bans stand regardless of whether someone is allowed to retain their passport after conviction.
Countries that turn felons away include several of the United States' strongest allies, like the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada — the final of which will host the G7 summit of world leaders in 2025. The list also includes a number of nations at the center of pressing foreign policy issues, such as China, Israel and Mexico.
International governments can, and in some cases would, choose to make an exception for Trump if he requested special permission as president to make a visit.
George W. Bush, who was arrested for drunk driving in the 1970s, ran into issues with Canadian travel restrictions during his presidency while planning an official state visit and, after applying for a special waiver, he was ultimately allowed to enter.
In Bush's case, which still proved tedious, the circumstances were a bit different: the crime happened decades earlier, was only categorized as a misdemeanor and was never tried in a court of law (Bush admitted to driving under the influence upon arrest and got off with a fine and temporary license suspension). It's hard to say whether Trump's new 34 felony convictions would be dealt with in a similar manner.
If Trump were elected to another term in the White House and chose to apply for special travel waivers, the irony would not go unnoticed.
The former president has often characterized foreigners as "criminals," and has campaigned on a promise to tighten U.S. travel restrictions, which would include shutting down the border and instating travel bans on people of certain nationalities and ideologies.
Yea, that certainly won't have some dire consequences.Sounds like the start of an active Civil War
