Oh, you're butt hurt over comments from random posters on a small tech forum that no one cares about. Well, sorry people hurt your feelers, I've never seen your name before and have no idea who you are. Life outside of this forum is much more important to me, that's what I'm talking about. Of course this forum is one sided, it's dominated by liberal computer nerds, who fucking cares? If you need a safe space from mean liberals go to truth social or /r/conservative.

I'm certainly not going to go on a conservative dominated platform and act shocked when they say mean shit about liberals.
So the same person who thinks Trump is a bully is OK with bullying on the internet. Got it.

Yes I think Trump is smug. It's something that I have never liked about him. I would also prefer he not make some of the comments that he does. I believe some of those comments only bring divide to our country. In no way is he perfect. His opposition made comments as well. That's the type of stuff I wish both parties would leave out. It doesn't help us in any way shape or form. If anything it just pushes people away unless you like the drama.

But it does win elections, doesn't it?

When did Trump show support for this 2025 Project. I remember him stating exactly the opposite.

LOL, it's good to see you back in your role of sycophant after claiming you were done with Trump. It doesn't matter what he said if you read what's in Project 2025, it doesn't require his direct involvement. This is also ignoring his tendency to constantly lie, as easily as he breathes. The Heritage Foundation will still have their role in providing stooges and cronies that will fulfill the unitary executive.

At this point I merely hope that Trump voters get exactly what they voted for, and that Trump immediately enacts the policies he said he would. I would gladly face hardship for a while if the Trump voting dumbfucks had to suffer for their poor decisions.
This is the thing. At least at this point, Trump being president will have 0 effect on me personally. I'm set.

I understand the difference between the President of the United states and random posters on the internet. I am not ok with the President acting no different than anonymous people on an Internet forum, which is one of the many reasons I would never vote for Trump. Who did you vote for?

Really? Where do you get this info from? You don't personally know people who died of COVID? I know four.

- My Dad was hospitalized but didn't die. Other than that I don't personally know a single person who actually died from Covid (I vaguely know "of" people who have died, but no one close whose presence I would miss).

Alternatively, I do know a couple oldies who completely fucked up their meds cause their kids wouldn't visit them and help them sort it out in person and then died as a result of complications from that.

From a purely mathematical perspective, 1 million people died of Covid (when it was big news) in a country of 360 million people. Most people aren't necessarily going to know someone close to them dying of the disease.

You fucking disingenuous dumbshit. Where were you the 7,000 times Trump called other people things like humans scum and actually threatens some people enough that his minions left them death threats and had them actually need to hire security guards. Don't expect sympathy here with your fake outrage at the mean old Democrats.
Why would I be outraged? The guy I supported won, and he gets the house and senate as part of the deal. I'm satisfied with the outcome. It's a good day.

If you think only 1 million Americans died of COVID I have a bridge to sell you.

Even if it's 2M out of 330M, that's not enough to say everyone knows someone close who died of Covid. SARS-CoV-2 spread like a mofo, but Covid didn't have nearly the mortality rate of Ebola, SARS 1.0 or MERS.

I know of only an uncle, and he was over 90 years old (decent health for his age, it was definitely Covid that was the root cause).

You're right. This is a great day for you. None of the shitstorm that is coming is going to affect you. Because you are the "right" kind of person.

I don't know anyone that died of Covid either. I know one dude that was in the hospital but fully recovered.

I still don't see how another person's actions, whether they are the President or not, should affect the way you treat others. If you don't like they way a person treats people whey would you treat people that way, whether in person or on the internet? In the end I voted for Trump. For me, he is the better leader for this country.

Should we ignore the sitting president calling half the nation garbage? How much do you think that helped Harris?
Smug superiority isn't a popular demeanor, it doesn't play well and is usually rejected.

Wow, the cognitive dissonance here is mind numbing. I figured you'd vote for Trump because you thought it was in your own interests, but it never occurred to me that you'd use someone else's alleged "smug superiority" to justify it. Man, that is fucking hilarious.

Harris lost because the majority of voters didn't want her to be president. I don't need to justify anything beyond that. I have an opinion as to some of the reasons for that, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter what I think, nor you. Trump won, that's it. Getting angry at me isn't going to change that.

Not angry at all. At least, not at you in particular. But you didn't respond to my point, which is how can someone who claims to be concerned about "smug superiority" vote for Donald Trump? They wouldn't. So I guess what I'm saying is that you're just not being honest about why you voted for him.

It's gonna be somewhat funny when right wingers start whining that trump isn't hurting the right people when he trashes the economy and easily preventable diseases make a big comeback. Worth it to own the libs I guess?

As for name calling, right wingers have been calling liberals child groomers, child mutilators, claiming we're poisoning the blood of this country, calling us the enemy within, threatening to use the military against us, the list goes on but heaven forbid liberals call them bad things because of the actual views they hold.
Yeah…well…

<sigh> the next 4 years aren’t gonna be great for many of us.

FYI. Tolerance is a compact. If you are tolerant of me I’ll be tolerant of you.

If you are intolerant of me then I’ll be intolerant of you. This is called reciprocity. It’s similar to the “golden rule” of “treat others how you wish to be treated”.

As I think it was you who said earlier you didn’t like some of the language and attacks coming out of your side you can see how that intolerance would receive intolerance back. (This goes for attacks from the other side as well)

Now the fundamental difference in principles here are who was a being attacked and why.

One side has been intolerant of what people are (minority, women, immigrant, LGBTQ). These are not things a person can really change. They were being attacked to divide us so the larger side would vote for the one doing the attacking.

The other was responding with intolerance against those who are intolerant. That decision to be intolerant or support leaders who are is not something people are. It’s something people choose.

So people here are not attacking you for what you are because you can’t change what you are. They are attacking you for your choices. Which you have full control over.

So you came here complaining about random strangers bullying you on the internet, while voting for a person who bullies people in real life into the most powerful position in the world. Think about that for a minute and maybe you'll see why we get angry at people like you and call you out for who you are.

Which candidate threw insults every chance they got towards anyone who didn't support them?

Both Sides.

Which candidate was respectful towards the other side and tried to reach out?

Neither Side.

Which one of those won?

Republicans.
I'll give you dem supporters threw insults, but can you link up Harris actually insulting Trump supporters?

I agree with your sentiments here. Except for this. Lumping me or anyone else into a group simply for voting for one person in an election while never engaging in any conversation with them isn't helpful at all. And you'll never convince them to join forces with you by doing so. Voting for Trump doesn't make me intolerant. I choose how to treat people, my vote doesn't dictate how I treat people. The person I voted for doesn't dictate how I treat people. The way people treat me (warranted or not) doesn't dictate how I treat people. Just like your vote doesn't dictate how you (or others here) treat people. Being intolerant when it fits a political narrative doesn't make it right.
So you came here complaining about random strangers bullying you on the internet, while voting for a person who bullies people in real life into the most powerful position in the world. No I just made an observation. Like I mentioned above I don't let the candidate I vote for dictate how I treat people. Voting for Trump or Kamala doesn't change the person I am. It only seems to change the person you think I am.
