I would suggest keeping the original AC power supply in the computer and just buying an inverter. It would be much cheaper.

This right here looks to me pretty good also... Opus

But this company sucks, when you read in the forum...

But I now think that a converter is the best bet also, since you then have a plug, and are more flexible and it is a lot cheaper...

Way to go...

Maybe you need more wattage? Fine for my purposes, though.

Cool! And a nice price as well. I didn't know you could get those DC-DC power supplies stand-alone like that ... I can probably get a bit smaller even then the Casetronics case I linked to because I don't expect to put a CD drive in it.

There are a few others on that site as well. Similar size, slightly more expensive and more wattage. They are great for saving space.

With a 8A 3.3V rating and 100W on the combined 5V /3.3V supplies you will not be able to run much of a computer.

It most likely is not going to be much of a computer...

I guess, but I agree on you, that you wanna be flexible in your choices...

Is this still the SFF/Notebook forum?

It's an Eden board with a laptop HD and nothing else. If it needs more juice than that, I'm in trouble. It's not going to be a powerhouse. It's not meant to be a powerhouse.

I'm planning on juicing up my SFF rig with a FlexATX nForce 420D and Mobile Duron. Combined with a slimline CD and a single-platter Seagate, that'll fit under that 100W bar with room to spare.
