I think he'll end up in Miami in all likelihood, but he does have some interest in Arizona.

Some people on Denver radio stations have been in touch and have him on record saying that. Its not like I'm making the shit up. He said "I would love to work with Mike but don't want to play Eli twice" or basically that exact statement. As someone else has said, he all but said he told the Redskins no.

Bottom line is this is huge around here, Denver is a bigger football town than any of the other places he may end up going and we are covering this thing more or as much as everyone else.

Also, Adam Shefter made his career in Denver - and still has tons of contacts here and is relaying a ton of info like that we are the dark horse. However, I don't think he'll come here

I know he doesn't want to play against Eli twice, but do you seriously think he'd come out and say "Hell no, I don't want to play with Shanahan -- he's a control freak!" And I even think both of those reasons are minor compared to the big fact that Dan Snyder is an idiot. He is just being nice.

I'd like for him to go to Denver as I think that outside of San Francisco, Baltimore, or Houston (none of which will happen), they give him the best chance at winning.

I'd love to see him go to Miami and not Arizona just so we wouldn't have to play him twice this year. I still think the 49ers would be the team to beat in the NFC West this year though.. Not to mention Peyton struggles more against a 3-4 and the 49ers have one of the best front sevens in the league.

Either way, it'll be exciting to see him play in Candlestick this year should he go to either.

Seems to me if he was interested in KC, he would have gone there first on his multi-city trip that goes out west.

I mean... aside from not throwing picks I don't see what Smith brings to the table. Seems like a QB with Smith's level of success can be found any time in FA after Manning retires. Or just start over with a new QB after Manning.

Since Pioli came here the chiefs have in general been very secretive in the players and coaches they interview or look at. It was extremely out of character for the chiefs to say they were going to look at manning when Crenel said it at the comhine. So if peyton is going too or has already made a visit here the chiefs probably wouldn't have advertised it.
