Yeah not even I saw that one coming.
I know everyone was saying this would be the one game New England had to worry about but I still thought that New England defense could rattle Big Ben enough to allow the need for Tommy Maddox to drop in for a few possessions.
Guess I was wrong. = (

I had Rothleisberger on the bench too for my fantasy team.
It's ok though, Michael Vick had a great day and he was in over Jeff Garcia and Roth.

The Steelers are playing great though, that Defense finally showed me something.

haha that would be crazy.

The Eagles got a scare today too in a close 5 point game.
Something's going to happen.

what a junk win .. watched the game and was unimpressed by the Steelers. They have to come thru the snow in Foxboro in December if they are going to the Superbowl and the results won't be the same.

21 including postseason, 18 not counting postseason. As a pats fan, I think it's not a bad thing to lose this game. The Steelers just flat out played better, they deserved the win. The Pats haven't exactly been playing lights out for the past month. They only did ENOUGH to win. Maybe this is a good wake up call. The pats are always really vague when it comes to injury reports as well. Brady has been listed as probable since the start of the season every week. I wonder if his shoulder his worse than he is letting on. Deion Branch hasn't played for liek 5 weeks already, out with a knee injury. I hope it's nothing too serious. Branch was the biggest deep threat the Pats had and his loss is not to be overlooked. Anyway, Big Ben played a great game. shades of brady in 2001.

Corey Dillon being out hurt them too.

Kevin Fault racked up like 8 total rushing yards.
It hurt my fantasy team too 'cause I have Corey Dillon. = (

The Steelers won a game.....wow. I can't believe all this "talk" about the Steelers led by some rookie QB. They're going to crash and burn, unlike the Pats. Move on folks.

lmao@all this talk.
All this talk?

Read this:

Roethlisberger already has nine scoring passes in what is fast becoming the best season by an NFL rookie QB since Dan Marino threw 20 touchdown passes and only six interceptions in 11 games for the 1983 Dolphins.

and this:

This was supposed to be the game that exposed Roethlisberger as a rookie -- taking on New England's defensive mastermind, coach Bill Belichick, and the Patriots' unpredictable defenses. Instead, Roethlisberger ran his own winning streak to 18 -- his last 13 games at Miami of Ohio and his first five in the NFL.

and this:

Only former Steelers quarterback Mike Kruczek's 6-0 start while subbing for the injured Terry Bradshaw in 1976 is longer than Roethlisberger's since the 1970 NFL merger. But Kruczek never threw a TD pass in 10 games that season.

If that's sarcasm in your post, then sorry, I didn't see it.

Oh wow, posting stats. That gets a "wow" from me as well. Come crunch time you'll see the Steelers crash and burn, that's all. The Steelers that barely squeaked out a win vs the Cowboys. NE was bound to lose sooner or later. Pitts has nothing on the elite in the NFC or the AFC.

New England was bound to lose sooner or later so Pittsburg didn't really earn this victory? They also have nothing on the elite even though NE was #1 in the power rankings for god knows how long and Pitt dethroned them? Don't be bitter.

I also had corey dillon on my fantasy team, but i benched him for mwelde moore, which wasn't much better. I am a big pats fan, but I also think the Steelers are legit. They played a lot better than the underhanded pats did and deserve the win. Simple as that. It's not the end of the world for patriots. Any team in the NFL will take a 6-1 start any day.

Although I agree with this statement for the most part, I think you're being a little naive. Sure this will give the Steelers more credit than they deserve, and the Patriots were bound to lose eventually... you're still taking away credit from them.

The Patriots can't fall back on being over arrogant alone for losing this game. We're talking about a team that has won 20+ games straight, even if they have a bad game it should still be considered an accomplishment to defeat them because even on an off day, they're still an extreme threat.

Yeah. Duce Staley is only 3rd in rushing. Hines Ward leads the AFC in receptions. Ben is the 4th highest rated QB in the NFL. The offensive line is dominating at the point of attack, and the defense has been making huge plays all year. Pittsburgh doesn't have anything going for them at all.

NE has "squeaked out" 2 or 3 wins this year. How is it any different?

The apologists are out in full force... I love it.

Go Steelers!

I know this is easily obtainable information, but just deal with it and move on with your life.

Who beat the Stealers earlier this year?

Man, it was priceless watching Brady throwing 2 INTS and being forced to fumble, was like watching a spoiled little home schooled brat finally get beat up by public school bullies - just priceless. Tom Brady, welcome to the NFL.

I feel like a fantasy football prophet after that game... I started Roethlisberger, and benched Warner... Big Ben is the next Brett Favre

Brady told me to tell you: "Welcome to my 2 Super Bowl rings in the past 3 years, and NFL record 21 wins in a row." You surely don't follow the NFL making funny/baseless statements as above.

All in all, it's any given Sunday. The Pat's run was record breaking and had to end somewhere. Hopefully Westbrook will be back next week for Philly so the Iggles can smash the Stillers, although they have 8 starters injured or out for the year. However, I predicted earlier in the year that the two games that worried me most for Philly was Pitt and St.L on the road, so I won't be surprised if they lose one of those games.
