Anyone ever noticed that the main Democratic Plan is to take from the rich and give to the poor? The thing is, the South, generally poorer and with more minorities, without fail vote for Bush. In my mind, the one reason Republicans are increasing in numbers rather than decreasing is that people don't want to be told how pitiful they are and how uncle sam can help, but rather want to be set as people on an equal playing field as the Rich. The poor want to believe (and should) that they are just as good as anyone else, and with the DNC constantly chanting about how minorities never get their fair shake, it does not seem possible for the Democrats to even think about winning the south until they change ther mantra. Just an observation..
