Ummmmmm a stock V6 Mustang is a piece of crap. It has trouble beating anything else with a V6. Any performance oriented sedan will bet it. As for the stock V8 Mustang it's not a slow car, but it's also not a fast car either. The stock Camaro has always and will always kill it. As will any other legit sports car or expensive luxury sedan with a V8.

for me the reason i bought a civic wasn't to go fast necessarily (i only have some 15-inch wheels and an air-filter nonstandard). it was because i was tired of things falling off the fords and chevys i've owned. the fit and finish on domestic autos in general continues to be pathetic!!!

A stock Z28 Camaro (I hope thats the one you are talking about) that will smoke a stock Mustang GT. Well, no crap it will. Cuz a Z28 doesn't compete with a GT. The Mustang Cobra does, which will beat a Z28 and is dead even with a Camaro SS. I mean the new 2001-2 Mustang Cobras.

And excuse my ignorance, but what is a IS-400? Last time I checked the only Lexus IS, was the IS 300.

wow.. thats amazing.. I live in west texas, so I assure you there are a lot of rednecks out here.. and a LOT of z71's! but none of the rednecks around here would be caught DEAD in a civic! if they don't drive a Z71 they drive a Camaro around these parts. the ricers around here are the mexicans.
