I don't understand.

Real deal chinese food > orange chicken, crab rangoon, chicken wings... the stuff that chinese people don't even eat.

If real chinese food was better, then they'd have stores for that. Sorry, American Chinese food is better. Not that real chinese food is bad.

I get this 2-3 times a week when I stop by chinatown on the way home from work.

What are some good spots in chinatown for a quick bite?

Hate to break it to most....but soon chinatown really wont be chinese food anymore. Food in areas such as Bejing is nothing like Chinatown. It's Hong Kong Food now.

Instead of all those, they use baboon penis and dog testicles over there.

It's "real" chinese food and yet you're eating it with a fork..........

That's irrelevant

True, but I don't see how this chinese food is any more or less real than such things like wontons, rangoons, kung pao chicken, etc. They're all foods that are eaten in China and as such are typically classified as chinese. Personally I'm a big fan of Middle Eastern variety foods nowadays like lamb shanks, beef shawarmah, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and sheesh kifta. Have an awesome restaurant nearby called Jerusalem that does a great job on all of these and another called Ya Hala that I prefer the shawarmah from.

He's a muslim!!! GET HIM BOYZ!!!!!

That looks like a Chinatown Express roasted combo here in DC.

For like $5 and change, you get your choice of roast duck, roast pork, suckling pig, tripe, chicken, and I think one other over rice plus a soda. The sauces they have are awesome too.

They have everything hanging, they carve it to order. Plus, they're making their own noodles up front.

For those DC area folks that have never been, it's on 6th St NW between G and H. You have to go.

Yep, roast duck over rice. I believe the sauce is a jus but I never cared to ask (can't really speak the language anyway).

There's food that can be made quick and in mass quanties with little taste and then there are foods that are better and take longer to make. Easy to tell which restaurants go with what for their business if you eat enough.
