He is correct. The Muslims and Arabs have no business owning it and only have it because of geographic fortune or a deity's practical joke. Their culture and religion would have never enabled them to figure out how to drill for oil, nor how to refine it, nor even to invent anything that could use gasoline. It's not like these people are innovators and scientists (unlike those folks at the Israeli universities).

Algebra is an arabic word, algorithm is an arabic word, the numbers you use are called arabic numerals. Civilizations and technology are built on what we learned from previous civilizations. When the west was living in wooden shacks and fighting amongst themselves over theology, the middle east was enjoying advances in science, mathematics, and medicine. I don't care much for the middle east now, but i certainly don't ignore their contribution to the advancement of civilization on a global level. Neither should u. Any student of history can tell you the west didn't even become significant on a global level until the 15th century. before that the vast majority of innovation and technology was from the east (India, middle east, and far east). Then into Renaissance italy. Ancient Rome & Greece certainly didn't consider themselves part of the west, they referred to the west as barbarians. Stop being so Eurocentric in your view of the world.
anyways here's an interesting article to reinforce that the great irony of this is the Israelis are attacking an oppressed people and ignoring what happened to them in the holocaust:

There are certainly extreme right wing nut jobs in the Israeli government. i wouldn't paint them as victims at all, the death toll is a testament to that regardless of their ministers saying they'll bring holocaust to the Palestinians.
