Since I put an SSD in my wife's 2009 or 2010 Dell 500s, she won't let me spend the money to replace it. It is more than good enough. So I don't see Mom and Pop needing an upgrade. So much for the need for speed.
Servers, though, always will demand more processing power.
I think the real drive in the consumer space well be for ever more miserly CPU's for the mobile market.
Where we fit in is . . . where? When Intel builds an enthusiast chip, is there time left for new lessons learned to influence the server CPU's?
