So what's the deal with this movie or show....

I never seen that movie, but it seems to be such a huge thing.

Personally I hated it. I thought it was just plain terrible.

I don't have a problem with the transvestite stuff, just thought it was incredibly bad, which I guess is maybe some of its appeal. I dunno, I never understood what was supposed to be so great about it.

It's like a car wreck... so bad it makes you want to watch. Except it doesn't really make you want to watch it, people just do. They dress up like the characters in the movie and go see it in theaters. Yes, some theaters still play it.

It's one of those things that you either love or you hate, but you really haven't truly lived if you have not sat in a theater full of drag queens and weirdoes while yelling obscenities at the screen.

I saw this episode of Cold Case that had a part about it. People dancing on stage and this cop really enjoying it.
Also last week on that show Freddie (which sucks) they had something about it.

Anyone that says that the RHPS is a crappy movie is 100% correct, but they also are proving that they just don't get it. It's not about the movie itself, it's about the experience. It's about people in costumes, it's about acting out the movie, it's about everyone in the theater getting up to do the Time Warp, it's about shouting lines, it's about water pistols, it's about throwing toast, rice and toilet paper and it's about hazing virgins.

Its become a cult flick/performance, as someone said it you either love it or hate it.

I loved it, its better seeing the thing live.

It's one of those movies that creeps a lot of people out and makes straight guys feel uncomfortable. (I know cause that's the way I felt when I watched it for the first time) But I've known a lot of girls that like it because the music isn't all that bad and it was definitely well directed....it's just kind of kinky and disturbing in a suggestive manner.

Some now famous actors got their big break in RHPS, like Suzan Sarandon, Tim Curry

Thing is if you rent it or watch it on TV your will probably hate it. It really is not that good of a show, although it has some good cheese factor.

If you go to a midnight showing at a liberal cinema that lets people really have fun with it, you will probably have one of the greatest nights of your life.

The show is all about the audience. What is going on, on screen is just a way of keeping some order to the insanity, or at least keep everyone insane in sequence!

My suggestion would be to go, and to get up and have fun while there. Remember you are not expected to behave in any form of socially accepted way. You are expected to go crazy. If something seems funny, do it. If you want to correct Frank?s bad grammar, do it at the top of your lungs! Don?t like your pants, take them off.

It about everything BUT the movie. Great experience.
