The Royal Tenenbaums: do not see this movie.

this movie is awesome! but of course i thoroughly enjoyed rushmore as well. in fact, you're the only person i know who didn't like the royal tenenbaums. but to each his own.

now for a movie truly deemed NOT TO SEE. i dare you to watch "dr. t and his women". it's full of an all-star cast: richard gere, Helen Hunt, Laura Dern, Farrah Fawcett, Kate Hudson, Shelley Long, Tara Reid, Liv Tyler. i dare you also to find one person who liked it! oh yeah, this movie came out about 2years ago, so u might not remember it. but yeah, this movie is THE worst movie of all time.

I also liked Royal. A bit random, I liked Rushmore better. More developed characters.
I'd give Rushmore a 9/10 and Royal a 8/10 prolly.

The Royal Tenenbaums is without a doubt the best movie I've seen in 2001 (and the beginning of 2002).

I'm not 100% sure why, but when they are in Eli's (Owen Wilson) house, the two picturee he has on his wall of those freakish guys on their ATV's and then again when they are attacking that guy made me double over laughing. I think it was the randomness of it. Everytime I think of it I still laugh, I'm laughing right now.

I thought the movie was hilarious, off-kilter of course but that was the point. 8.5/10

Those two pictures were awesome. Did you notice the small picture that was next to one of them? It was a line drawing of a pair of mens briefs. It cracks me up everytime I think about it.

No I missed the smaller one. My friend was trying to tell me about it too but when I was watching it I was focusing all of my attention on the two larger ones so I missed it.

Never fails! Thought about them again and started laughing...

The movie was very well made. I know some people won't like it but I did. The sets, the clothes, the colors were all very well done.
