I took it when I was 7, I was drunk, high, tripping on acid, and had just smoked some PCP. I only made a 1580.

I took it twice, got a 1410 then a 1520 (800 M, 720 V). I took a class before the first test, and did nothing before the second (well, I skimmed a prep book the night before).
I cant actually say thats entirely true. Its a half truth at best. AP Classes may be at an all time high, but only 32% of high school graduates are academically ready to go to college. Its no fault of our generation, we arent the ones who control public policy. Education has been on a decline since the late 1970s.
Although I'm not going to disagree with you, despite being part of the supposedly dumber generation, you have to realize that it's not the fault of kids being dumb entirely (if these statistics are valid). I've had a bunch of very, very poor teachers throughout the years, and I'm in what is supposedly a pretty good academic school (better-than-average public school).
Like I said our generation isnt in control of public policy, and the education system has been decling since the late 1970s.
Education is what one makes of it. Which isnt much for most of our generation. Anyone that doesnt have a handicap can take remedial courses and go on and do well, if they have the dedication. Most of our generation lacks this dedication and motivation, and wants instant gratification.

Very sad considering that I despise English, and I'm going for a math major in college. Careless mistakes really kick my butt on the SAT...I mean, try this: 3x + 6 = 9
x=1. Obvious, no? Obvious unless you read the + as a - and got x=5.
Stop discrediting kids today. Have you even taken a new SAT recently? They aren't easy and we are studying much harder for them than any prior generation did. Almost all of my friends took prep classes and have a stack of books to assist them on the test.
I'm tired of having to listen to all of the past generations say we are lazy. AP classes are at an all time high and making college is harder than ever.
