There's also Tales of Monkey Island coming to Wii and PC, which will be all new episodic content from Telltale Games.

Oh I was referring to the OP. It wasn't clear in the the OP that there are two separate Monkey Island games coming out.

Only one is a remake. The other is new content, right?

I don't trust episodic content though. We'll see how that pans out.

I'm definately hyped for the remake of Secret of Monkey Island.

At least for PC. I don't need a console basardization of that.

I don't remember much of X-Wing or Tie Fighter but do seem to remember it being pretty simplistic relative to today's creations. A port with upgraded graphics would probably come out just fine on a console.

EDIT: GiantBomb has a better version of the trailer (which they've mislabeled as being for Tales of Monkey Island). Looks great--Telltale Games have really treated this right.

Features:

BTW, going to the official site is worth it just for the music.

LucasArts badly needs to revive the X-Wing series. Just as long as there's no Clone Wars and no flying through the Death Star II again.

You obviously have not played any of Telltale's games.

Open letter to Telltale:

Dear Telltale Games,
I would like to inquire on how I can just send you more money.

P.S. Also, I would like to send Steve Purcell more of my money too.

<snorgles>

EDIT: Telltale listed some of the team members, some pretty good people in there and they have an FAQ that answers most questions from fans: http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland/faq

Plus, Ron Gilbert made a few comments: http://grumpygamer.com/8280380

You are right. I haven't, which is why I'm cautious of their new content. None of Telltale's previous products every interested me. I hope they do a good job with Monkey Island.

On another note, I wonder if the controls for Tales will be analog like Escape from Monkey Island or point and click like predecessors. I am hoping point and click, and I am guessing this is right because of it being released on PC and Wiiware (aka both can you use and click).
