ok, i was able to report all 85 tasks on one host by manually updating the project this morning, and all 85 showed up in my task statistics (82 are valid, and 3 are pending). BOINC then grabbed 14 v1.09 tasks from the project server, only they were "resent lost" tasks, and not brand new ones...i'm not sure what that means, but i've seen it in the past with other projects too. at any rate, 13 of the 14 tasks downloaded successfully, while one had the following error:

11/19/2011 7:47:17 AM | correlizer | [error] State file error: missing file rc_corr_263926_1_0
11/19/2011 7:47:17 AM | correlizer | [error] Can't handle task rc_corr_263926_1 in scheduler reply
it downloaded these tasks before it actually downloaded the new v1.09 wrapper and other important v1.09 files for some reason. it then asked for more new work, but i got the following error message:

11/19/2011 7:47:30 AM | correlizer | Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your project preferences on the web site.
now it may just have been a result of it asking for work for my ATI GPU (as opposed to asking for CPU work), and i think that's a consequence of BOINC forcing the request, since Correlizer only offers CPU work. however, i just wanted to be sure that my Correlizer application preferences don't need to be changed now that they've gone to v1.09 - i should still only have the "Correlizer Applications" and the "if no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications" boxes checked, right?

YES! Finally, got all of my Correlizer WUs uploaded. Now I can focus on PrimeGrid and then I'll probably go back to Correlizer or even go to one of the other suggested projects in the other threads.

All righty!

I've reported ~600 WUs which were ready to report however I am unable to get any work for the same reason Sunny posted.
Server status is currently showing no tasks available for sending so maybe everyone sucked those already.

Tasks ready to send 0
Tasks in progress 60,684
Workunits waiting for validation 0
Workunits waiting for assimilation 38,608
Workunits waiting for file deletion 27
Tasks waiting for file deletion 188
Transitioner backlog (hours) 0

hmmm according to the correlizer task view, for my username, i have 1.09 and 1.07 tasks in progress but none of my machines have any correlizer wus.

I guess i'll come back to correlizer when i notice it is stable...in the meantime I'll stick to WCG.

yeah, the correlizer server is MAJORLY f_cked up right now...those 14 "resent lost" tasks my host attempted to download earlier this morning (of which i only got 13) have now been cancelled by the correlizer server and are no longer in my work queue b/c, according to BOINC, "Result rc_corr_xxxxxx_x is no longer usable." tasks that are cancelled by the server apparently then get logged as errors on the user stats pages. in addition to those 13 errors, i have 35 other errors that are the result of receiving what seem to me to have been "ghost" tasks back on 11/11, all of which had a deadline of the same date (11/11)! knowing that this had to be the result of a server-side issue, i just decided to do all that i can do - sit back and wait for the project to get cleaned up.

i think the massive influx of reported tasks is overwhelming the server (as Petrus suggested earlier) and wreaking havoc on the user task stats & server status pages...

i don't know why i didn't think of that, but i gave it a shot, and sure enough i got ~400 new tasks in less than 60 seconds LOL...

I lost one quad! I rebooted to get everything to reset and checked to see if it updated at Correlizer and it hadn't. So, I crawled under my desk (on really creaky knees) and hooked up video, kb and mouse. Nothing. I turned off the power and now even that won't turn on again.:'(

It's time to start saving toward another X6.:\

you sure its a CPU problem and not a PSU problem?

i also don't like how they slightly changed the user task stats page...i mean, i can understand why they did away with the individual application columns (the BioMedical Genome Correlations, Correlizer Beta Applications, Correlizer Embedded Applications, Correlizer Applications columns) since the only current application is Correlizer Application. but i miss the numbers that used to be next to the "task type" column headers (all, in progress, pending, valid, invalid, and error) that would tell you how many tasks there were in each state...

...now you have to click "next 20" and remember how many pages you went through in order to determine the total number of tasks you have in each state...

So yeah, I counted 50 pages of pending validation work and just gave up counting. I am assuming that's a good amount of points.

I do have a spare psu I could try. Won't be today, though.

I thought I'd lost my x3350 last month, or maybe a psu, but it ended up being my ip 35 pro finally quitting after 3 cpus and 4 1/2 years of 24/7 DC in adverse conditions (high heat, high dust). I'm holding out for a deal on a 2500k/z68/cpu cooler, but I might just hold off until IB or BD part deux if no interesting deals show up in the next month or 2.

It was hot. I left if off overnight and it booted right up the next morning. It still has the loss of on-board video.

Did you check the heat-sinks and the fans for dust build-up? I've had that happen before with a laptop. It shut down during the night, and the next day I cleaned out the entire laptop of dust. Thankfully that saved the laptop from further damage.

i'm just glad to hear that it wasn't the CPU that crapped out on you...i don't know if you do much else with that rig, but if its primarily a cruncher and doesn't need all the bells and whistles of a high-end/enthusiast iteration of a chipset, you might be able to find yourself a mid-range/budget mobo w/ onboard video for cheap...or you could wait for the whole Black Friday weekend thing (which starts tonight at 6:00pm eastern time, for newegg anyways), where you might get a good deal on AMD's top of the line chipset that still offers integrated video (an 890GX board).

When my ip35 pro crapped out the tuniq cooler on it was literally blanketed in dust on the intake side. Probably a coincidence...

Looks very nice:

SETI.Germany ___ 7 259 836 credits
TeAm AnandTech _ 7 089 705 credits

The difference between the teams is now 170 131 ...
Considering that the diff once upon a time was more than 500K ...

I have more than 140 pending WUs ...

i'm hoping for some decent prices on a current gen Fermi card or two (like a GTX 560 Ti or a GTX 570), if not on black friday/cyber monday, then during the general holiday season. then i can take Einstein@Home off of my CPU (or CPUs) completely, and dedictae more CPU power to Correlizer. i'd like to stick with the project until we build a healthy lead over Team SG, but i guess that depends on the prices that dictate how i'll allocate my available resources...
