wayliff, please do not feel bad abou this. This is a culter clash - between two teams with different ways of doing DC.
I am sorry that this has put a a shadow on the race. Since SG has pulled out, nobody wins, the project looses. That is sad.
+1...absolutely no reason to feel bad. for what its worth, i'm going to continue crunching to the race deadline, regardless of whether the race is still on or not...that way neither the project nor the science loses. i made a commitment to crunch through a specific deadline, and b/c the greatest benefactor of such efforts is the science itself, i'm going to stick to it, race or no race.

that being said, i was going to post a Correlizer race recruitment thread in the VC&G forum this evening, but now i'm wondering if i shouldn't put that on hold until further notice...or at least until we know whether the race is either canceled or still on? wayliff, petrus, rudy...what do you guys think?

1. The race is not cancelled at all - some over @ SG will continue.
2. I have explained that recruiting is OK, and recruiting of the members of AnandTech is really no problem at all.
3. As a psychologically well educated man I would say that SG is feeling something. If they would feel confident to win they would not react at all about this.

We need more power. SG as a whole team has 2 750 (+/-) active members, who delivered WUs in the past week. Only 92 are doing Correlizer. The TeAm has only 207 active members (who delivered WUs in the past week) - only 36 of these have delivered WUs in Correlizer.
36 active crunchers for the TeAm produce almost as much as 92 Crunchers in SG.
Be proud of your self, but expect a flood of WUs from SG!

Is it just my PC or what? I'm not getting any wu's at all right now.

I added a machine today, it will crunch for 2 days, and at first I got only one WU.

I waited a few minutes and then these started to get downloaded slowly.

Select the project from the task lists and hit update. That may give you some WUs.

So everyone knows the situation with SETI.USA.
I saw some exchanges there and I am seeing they will no longer be helping because they want to focus on other things that other members brought up.

I did thank the Mod there for taking my request into consideration and passing it along to crunchers over there.

I have the same issue with my i7 970 (again... happened last week with this machine and it fixed itself but now it's throwing a hissy fit again). Got so fed up hitting update that I just left it and hoping it will get WUs on its own.

Yeah, that's the weird thing, it used to get plenty of wus before, but not today. Oh well, I just unpaused LHC to at least get some crunching done while corelizer is throwing fits.

In your account on Correlizer, go to Correlizer preferences and check Correlizer applications and un-check all others. Then check the accept work from other sub-projects when no work for your chosen project is available.

I was gonna borg another machine, but I'm seeing there are no WUs.

And for the record, my computer is now calling me a tease, being at 0% CPU usage right now and all...

Yeah, I just installed Correlizer on a new AMD 2.8Ghz quad-core, and it tells me there's no work either.

We done run them dry!

Edit: After clicking Update a few times, I finally managed to get three WUs. Which is not quite enough, it's a quad-core computer.

No WU's for people? That is not good.
Guess I should count myself lucky to have all of my machines busy.

Actually one machine only has 15 WU's available and it pounds through them in 12.5 minutes.

The credit goes toward TA and to have earned that credit, that individual would have had to join our team.
I think maybe part of the problem or complaint is that someone from another team could join TeAm Anandtech for the race until we win and then a month later quit TA and rejoin his regular team taking his points with him.

There are over 39K WUs unsent. Check your preferences on the project. Uncheck BioMedical and Correlizer Beta and check Correlizer applications.

Run only the selected applications BioMedical Genome Correlations: no
Correlizer Applications: yes
Correlizer Beta Applications: no
Correlizer Embedded Applications: no
If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? yes

I've had it like this for a couple of days now.

When I go to the Correlizer web page, and click on "My Account", I get a warning from Firefox about an untrusted connection.

Does anyone else get this? Or has someone installed a proxy server on my machine?

svahesrv2.bioquant.uni-heidelberg.de uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.

I got one too earlier. It's only happened once out of the 5 or so times I've clicked through.

No idea what it's about.

I'm running 4 WUs right now.All are "C. Applications 1.07". I unchecked all of the "run only" options, just in case the two I had selected were causing an issue.

After I finished posting this, I got two more, so I'm running at 75% capacity now.

I have the same issue. I bypassed it and it seems safe enough.

I have posted this in the SG-forum.
I have also recieved a PM from one SG member who sendss his greetings to wayliff and who does not think bad about wayliff.
It seems to me that the race will go on, so don't let up.
Let us race.

It sounds to me more like sour grapes from a few SG members who are disappointed that they didn't think of this, but the majority of their team is apparently still interested in the contest.

And recruiting SETI.USA members to join the TeAm is absolutely ok, they are now on OUR team rather than another. Technically, we could recruit SG members for that matter as long as they agreed to join the TeAm...:whiste:

Btw, congratulations to Seti.Germany, one of their members found some new something-or-other prime using PrimeGrid, it was in the BOINC notices.
